Sooner, I sympathize with you having a sick daughter...I was reading about it last night and then around 1am, Abby came rushing into my room bawling that her stomach hurt, then she ran out to the bathroom to get sick...poor thing has been feeling yucky ever since...she's home today too, but luckily I only work down the road and can come and check on her and her dad is home most of the day too.

She wanted to go to school, but I told her it was not a good idea since she could make the other kids sick if she went.

Well, Just to let everyone know, I took the money left over from POOPS that we talked about in our meeting that Saturday night. and I took the money that was reimbursed from the deposit and I put a little with it to round it off. Anyway I gave $200 to Lisa who lost her home in the fire.
She was very appreciative and said to tell you all thank you. She doesn't have computer access except when she visits a daughter. She said when she could she would try to get on line and thank everyone personally,
I met her at her homesite and there is little left.
As for animals, Four Turkeys, two horses, two pot bellied pigs, two goats, two cats, two dogs and one guinea survived.
She lost a lot of chickens and other birds, dogs, cats and goats.
She had a lot of chicks in the house and her incubator was full of eggs.
They are still dealing with the insurance people and trying to get things cleaned up a little at a time.

Thanks again for everyone's help. Keep them in your prayers.

Monty

TJ's Na-Na :

And PB&J - ????? - Nobody does homemade Pomegranate?.....or Cherry Almond?????

My wife does pomegranate, but they're grown here. There is even a pomegranate festival in the fall in my town here. The Cherry Almond sounds really good, and the fresh honey P&B.

I love them anyway but this summer I got some out of a southern Utah mountain lake (with good, cool, clean water) and they were great. My wife liked them better than lobster! OK, you guys made me hungry, again.

I can get it everywhere out here, it's the non-medicated that they were out of temporarily at the local when I wanted to get some for the older starts.

Hope that you guys all get some sun today, should I send you good 'sun vibes'?

Monty you are a sweet heart!

I hope they get things taken care of for her, I can't even imagine what it would be like going throught something like that.

Sonya, I hope your daughter gets over it quickly. Mine seems to be doing good now. She had some soup for lunch but isn't as active as she normal is, I am sure it is just being tired from last night and not sleeping well.

Time for me to go get something to eat!

I got mine from Halo, here on BYC, back in the fall last year. Had a nice hatch, 11 out of a dozen. Sold all the black barred boys at POOPS to BigOkie. Parent stock was a blue rock cock over barred rock hens.

Everyone must be having a busy Monday! I am getting alot of stuff done around the house. House work is boring!

Wishing I could take a nap! Just heard from another mother that her daughter is out of school with the same thing as mine. Maybe it was something she picked up at school......Sure hope we don't pass it around here at home.

I hope it's not the.... swine flu! Supposedly there are no reported cases of it in Oklahoma.

Henny, you be careful visiting the DFW area, there have been reported cases of it there.

No I don't think we have to worry about that. She isn't having any cold symptoms. One of my friends called and her daughter is out with the same thing. They both go to the same school. The secretary said there were several kids out with the same thing.

She is up moving around some now. She has also manage to keep some soup and 7up down. I think we are on the mend other than being tired from not sleeping well.

Monty - Sounds good to us, too. When a friend has been
through something like that, makes our aches/pains/hassles
seem so trivial......... We just recently found out that the
state's new 4-lane is gonna come through our livingroom !!!!!
But, I can get my "good stuff" out and let them clean up
the rest of it.........LOL

Hey, since we're all gettin' so good at "traveling" now......
Bill just talked to Carl Wallace, our local County Extension
Agent, that handles all our shows, etc., here in Cherokee
County. We have the facilities now, Tahlequah has several
motels, etc. We're campaigning for a sanctioned show here......
and then we could have a mini-POOPS at Tahlequah......LOL

Alas, gotta go to this 40th class reunion next Saturday, and
try to have a good time with all those "old farts" that I went
to school with......... They all need some chickens so they'd
lighten up and know how to have fun !!!!!!!

Have a good one !
