Thanks for the compliment Les ... but I really don't have that much!

I'm still way new at this chicken stuff and really should scale back, since I'm going to be a first time grandma in April. I have too many birds only because I just haven't been able to decide what I want to specialize in. The only bantams we have are silkie and a trio of mille fleur d'uccle, and the only standards we have are marans, jersey giant, spitzhauben, brabanter, turken and welsummers. Oh, and some Easter Eggers and Araucanas for the green eggs. Then there's the 4 breeds of turkeys we have and a couple of peacocks that survived a dog masacre.

Welcome DanverGuy, I'm glad you found the Okies thread. I hope to meet you at future poultry event, ie., auction, show, chickenstock or just for trading birds or eggs. Congrat's on being a recent OSU grad!

Hey Danver! Welcome aboard... lots of nice folks! Watch out for me and Al... we are the crazy ones! Always getting in trouble. And Stimp... Lookout for Stimpster.... Are ya still out there Stimp? Haven't heard from ya in a while!

Who is going to where for auctions this weekend?
I would like to check out Blanchard but since Jones is so much closer I will probably go there.
Danver Welcome and I added you to the list.
I know there are some other newbies I haven't got listed yet but hopefully I can get that done soon.
Monty

BuckGuy... where abouts is Jones? The only acution I have ever been to is Cement...is Jones pretty much the same. I would really like to get rid of these OEGs while the weather is decent. I have a BR mutt roo and a Delaware too that I might get rid of. Too many roos, dang it! Might just wait till Cement again... but by then I suppose the weather will turn!! HAHAHAH... OKLAHOMA....ya gotta love it!

Just went by thePrague exotic sale. There is a beautiful set (trio) of asils there. Wanted to buy them but they are $25 each. That is about $55 more than I could afford right now.

If you are headed that way, they are nice. I should have gotten a pic.

Hey Al, for that price I'll sell ya all my silkies. It's at $1,201.00 right now! I have some birds that look just as nice as she does!

Anyway Al, I'll probably sell ya a pullet or 2 if you're still interested. I've got to decide a reasonable selling price & get Gerald's blessing becore then. I guess next Cement auction?

HennyPennies, you should go to the Blanchard auction on Saturday night. It's only an hour NE of Cement. A lot of people that go to Cement also go to the Blanchard auction. We'll be there, although I still want to be both places (Jones & Blanchard) at the same time. I just wish I could hide & watch both auctions ... I wouldn't even need to buy anything ... I can't fit any more birds at my house anyway!
