Hey, I get along fine with the KID,.. it's his, "pushing", 16 year old
sister that I'm "LOST" with. LOL

We had the problem with the temperature at the get-go with
the GQF and had to replace the heating element, but seems
to be holding fine now. White Cochin Bantum babies.......
out of Fred McGee's birds, we got........We've got plenty of
time to figure out something...........

Actually, what I think we need to do is tell the KID.........
"Nope, you've got all the birds you get !!!"......

Ahhhhhhhhhh.......life at the farm..........

Have a good one !

I am so excited about the new eggs I got today, I just had to re-post the feedback I left:

I purchased 6 BBS Marans eggs from onthespot. She said that she would include extras, but I was so surprised when she sent 13 - that is more than double what I paid for! All those beautiful eggs got here today

They made it with no casualties, or even cracks. It was also one of the best packing jobs I have ever seen, and the box was almost twice the size I have had 2 dozen eggs shipped in! In fact, I am going to start using her packing method to ship my eggs, just as soon as I run out of my other supplies!

So now I may finally have my Marans

Isn't it cool how chickens will go to roost by themselves once they know where to go? I alos like the way the go to bed when they decide the light is dim enough that they should go into the trees or into the hen house.

So, that's where the golden laced came from, too??????

Finally, after the bator problems, have a super cute
white Old English chick....nope,... not in a brooder here.....
in the "special box...with the special light....in my "special"..
livingroom".....so that TJ can check "it" 24-7..............

Have a good one !

Langshanman....Bill has talked to several around here this
past week about Nubians - even has tried to buy the ones
we sold, back from them, and they won't sell........ If there was
a problem from down this way, imagine Rick, or someone, will
holler at him.

As far as chickens, Jerry Watt was up there before coming
to Pryor and they were going super high.....but who knows
what they'll be next month........

We'll keep an ear to the ground down Tahlequah way.

Have a good one !

Well folks it is sprinkleing here in Morrison, north of Stillwater at this very minute, I got 2 rose bushes planted today and started on 4 more cages, hauled in a load of tin and got a whole $39 for it, but it payed for my gas to go in and pay my taxes so I guess I came out alright, picked up a pickup cab the same as my pickup so can use parts from it, wind is blowing and it is thundering, man it has been a while since we heard that, nice and cool. Think I'll say hi and bye in the same letter tonight, it is getting late, god bless you all, Lynn
