Morning all~

The rain missed us complete last night!! The wind is still horrid! I am a nervous wreck today! I have eggs in the bator, due to stop turning tomorrow and hatch on Sat. PLease don't let the power go out while I am at work!!!!!

GOOD GRIEF!!! We got rain, rain and some more rain, and wind and hail. Oh, did I say WIND, wow. Our yard looks a mess, the trees from last years ice storm that were dangling really high up in the trees fell last night. Power went out and the gully washer took our road out. I hate when that happens.

However, I love the clean fresh look of things. The landscape was looking really dusty. BTW it brought out the deer. We took my daughter to school this morning and saw a group of deer feeding by our creek.. They are so cute.

Man we got wind yesterday and last night but nothing today. VERY LITTLE rain but they say its still headed this way. Had to run out and put the baby chickies up before it hits. Oh man and yes the yard!! There is stuff everywhere.

Okiemommy - did ya'll fare alright in that thunderstorm last night? We have some small twigs littering the yard and swirls of grass clippings where the water floated everything to the top of the yard and then the wind made waves out of the floating debris.

Anyone going to have guineas at the swap? Just curious.. I really want a couple of those watch birds but Atwoods sells out so fast I can't seem to score one when they come in.

I am scared to raise them because everyone says they are so hard to raise. Can anyone give me the skinny on raising them? Are they SO hard to raise?

Boy we are fixing to get slammed with a storm. They say it's moving 55mph and I believe it. The wind is really picking up. Had to go close up the chicken hut and put out another barrel for the ducks. Maybe it won't be too bad.

Was sooo disappointed this morning that we hadn't gotten
a drop of rain....we need it here...... Took Bill for his traction
appt about 10:00.....About 10:30, hang on......LOL....wind,
lightning, and RAIN ! It didn't last long, but we got enough
that everything has gotten a "much needed" drink. I figure
we were right behind Sooner for the storm.

And, I don't remember just who all is going down for POOPS
that will be there Friday................ But, because I remember
what all we went through with a blown tire, left the lug wrench
in the farm truck, and what it cost to call a guy to come from
Checotah, from that direction, to fix it..... last December when
we were headed for Shawnee............. When we get
closer to POOPS, we need to add a list of "cell numbers" that
can be called in the event of something like that. PROMISE,
Pa-Pa will have his lug wrench "in hand" this time......LOL

Of course, Al is exempt........he's cookin'.............LOL

Don't remind me about blow outs on the way to Shawnee! I had one as well...4 am on the side of the road with 6 turkeys...150 quail...pigeons...chickens...yeah that was fun waiting for folks to wake-up! I have spares now!!!
