Monty - I would be interested in some runner ducks from Ideal - will they let us choose what is in the "assortment" or would someone else be willing to go in with me on an order of runner ducks? I don't want as many as are in the minimum order of runner ducks, but would like about 8 of them.

awwwwwwwwwwwww Teach so sorry. We just had 2 more doves hatch. Get this, I want to move the Doves OUTSIDE, hubby wont let me. I guess they are his birds now. The 1st dove we had hatch "his" name is Fred. "He" is about a month old now. "He learned to get on the perch yesterday. I tell you them babies are only a baby a mother could love, they are UGLY when hatched. Their beak is bigger than their whole body.

Hey Teach,
I will have some bantam light brown leghorns for you at POOPS.
Do you want some bantam cochin eggs also? I do not AI mine. I just trim thier bottom feathers way back so that the 'fertilizer" can reach the field. I have 2 babies right now from my new white roo, one black and one white(?). He is in with black hens.
With them having such heavily feathered bums the fertility rate does go down drasticly if you don't trim them. Or AI them. But I have several eggs in the incubator that is showing delveopment after getting thier bums trimmed.
After "breeding"season is over I will let thier bum feathers grow back for the fairs in August and September

Stimpy,
I hope you don't mind, I am using your last sig line. I really liked it!!

SC

I would love to get some cochin eggs if you have some extras.

I also wait to see what new sig line Stimpy has. I like the one you have now SC.

Monty I will only want bantams.

Don would you happen to have a female or 2 runners. I have one male runner. Or I would take eggs.

I will collect all of the cochin eggs that I get a few days before POOPs. I just went out to check on the girls and I have 3 sitting so that means they won't be laying!! I still have 4 more girls in there though so maybe that means they will get extra attention!!
I will also collect all of the bantam brown leghorn eggs. Those little beggers hatch great and always on day 20 for me!!

I really want some standard cochins. I would take eggs, chicks, pullets, full grown ones. I have had eggs shipped to me but 1 out of 24 eggs hatched.

I am considering selling off most of my "farm"chickens and just keeping Shaun's show birds and a few fun chickens.
Shaun is getting his show goats after POOPS and we are gearing up for baseball so we are really pressed for time.

Would anyone be interested in a bantam black rosecomb pair? EE hens? Mutt chicks?

I just got back from touring the fire area. It didn't get as close as I thought.
On TV last nite they were telling places where they were
stationed to put up a fight and so forth or what areas were affected. Some of the intersections they were talking about were a mile from the closest fire. I guess they were just getting ready when it got that far.
So basically the fire was four to five miles from us. Stilll too close to me.
The most amazing thing is how it just hop scotched through housing additions and burned houses here and there.
In Midwest City, there would be a place where the fire blew through and no houses were lost and then off to the side, in the middle of dozens of homes one house would be burned. It was like tht all over the addition.
It was basically the same in Choctaw.
The path of the fire wasn't as wide in most places as I thought after hearing the reports. It did burn a swath about six miles long
and up tp almost three quarters of a mile wide although in a lot of places, it wasn't that wide.
