Howdy y'all!

Things is things around here! Us men folk had to fend for ourselves tonight. The Mama went to get ready for the big church chic invite feed tomorrow...went and messed with my get religion night! The problem is that they went and made us men folk have to eat with the Christian men...I didn't become a Methodist 8 yrs ago to mess around with a bunch of Christians!

That is our favorite joke...I think it might be true for some of 'em

Greybear - I bet we could work something out...no I don't have any of those original cages still...which yes they would work...but I might have something else...we shall talk!

Oh forgot the whole dinner thing...I made the kids eat mini pizzas and I had a sundae cone! Yup I am big enough to ruin my dinner! That and the mama ain't here

We had spaghetti and salad for dinner...something simple and easy to make, plus the kids love it!

I finally gave in and took the chicken eggs out of the bator when I got home from work tonight. I was right about only two having chicks in them....the other 4 were just yellow milky messes. The two with the chicks were dead. One had actually pipped through the internal membrane, but the other was still completely contained....I'm so upset that they didn't make it.

Tomorrow I'll set the duck eggs in the carton and crank the humidity up. They were still all moving when I candled them last night, so cross yer fingers, ya'll. They should hatch on Saturday or around there abouts.

My girls in the brooder are getting so big and feathering out nicely. They sure do love to eat!

I love my laptop, cause I can kick back on the couch and watch tv and chat with ya'll instead of being holed up in the dining room in an uncomfortable chair and no company....

I had a great day. Got to spend it at Home Depot buying lumber for the next project. I'm building a 20' X 20' tool shed behind my house and I can't wait for the weather to straighten up so I can get started.

Oh yeah, I'm building a few rabbit hutches too. And maybe a few duck habitats as well. I love building stuff.

Evening all :

I guess the POOPS count is now over 70, for those of you that plan on bringing a bean dish and want to substitute it for something else feel free to do so if you wish. I had planned once the count got to 70 that I would be making a 30 gal pot of my world famous pinto beans w/hamhocks on site, with the amount of campers that we have and all the fireside goins-on you can never have enough beans, make it a regular blazing saddles night. so luvs better add that to your list. the food will be served in the clubhouse so I am not sure if chickens/chicks in the clubhouse will work, must keep sanitary conditions you know. Monty tells me there is plenty of room outdoors for them.

Deviled eggs would be perfect - if anyone has eggs they aren't putting in the incubator - those are something I like to eat, but am not fond of making.

I won't be getting up there until late...at least 8 or 830, but my folks should be there earlier and have our tent site set up...I don't get off of work until 5 and it's at least 3 hours away.

We did eggs and bacon at camp last weekend, but I'm thinking more along the lines of bringing a box of cereal and some milk...LOL.
