Didn't you say that you guys would be there Friday night?
I don't have a clue how many will be there Friday night, but
have got a good supply of "glow sticks" coming in for the kids
that will be down there Friday night and staying over Saturday.
I lay a supply of those in every spring for going to the lake.
TJ is a "kid magnet" wherever we go and it makes it easier
to keep up with them, too.......LOL

Yup, my attitude wasn't the best this morning....and I got on
here and had to give it up and laugh in spite of myself........

I will take all the help peeling eggs I can get, especially if Teach brings a whole bunch of lttle bitty boogers. When I told Shaun he was going to help me Saturday morning he did NOT seem to thrilled about the idea.

We will be there as soon as I can get hubby to leave town. I am letting Shaun skip school that day so I am hoping to be on the road by noon. That would put us there around 4pm. I am sure we won't see the kids for 2 days afer we get there. That is all mine can talk about right now.

Sooner- Shaun is 10 and if I am not mistaken TJ is too. So your youngn' will have someone thier age to play with. Teach's has one that age too, or close.​

Al, we're planning to let the kids cut school, so should be down
there fairly early Friday with the tables, etc. And, still working
on the list, waiting for the ice maker to land so we can test
drive it, etc. Will have things to add to the food list and the
auction table list. We do have a 5-gallon Igloo thermos.
Should I plan to throw it in and make tea/lemonade, etc. for
dinner?

So far, looks like the weather might just smile on POOPS !

The National Poultry Improvement Program ("NPIP") is to ensure that your flock is pullorum free. The Department of Agriculture will do the initial blood testing of your flock and issue you a NPIP certificate if all your birds are pullorum free. While they are there, they also swab the throats of a certain percentage of the birds to test for Avian Flu. Once you get a NPIP certificate, you are not supposed to introduce any birds into your flock until they have been NPIP tested, unless they come from a NPIP hatchery or flock. For those of us who like to buy an occasional bird at auctions, we want to be able to NPIP the bird ourselves, so it can be introduced into our flock without violating the NPIP rules.

The NPIP certification test is given once a year in OKC and this year it is June 12. Once you have been certified, you can take a recertification test at several locations around the state.

My little duckling has gotten zipped now and has one wing out and is working his best to pop the top all the way off. I have another egg pipping now.

I have the eggs up in a carton, but I can't help but wonder if the little guy would already be out if he was laying on his side in the bator....any thoughts on this??

We went and got a puppy from a lady this evening for my mom in law.
The dog is a german shepherd huskie mix and is really cute. We are gonna house break it and then give it to MIL. She had to have her dog put down and lives alone so she needed some company.
