Hey...just for the record.....I've gotten some of my "neatest"
stuff for holidays.............. I have a "darned near" commercial
meat slicer, a 1 hp. grinder, a big "juicer", etc........
Yup, just wish I could win the lottery so I could build a kitchen
worthy of my toys........LOL

I process, or can, most everything my bunch eats. If I pick up
a package, or can, up town and I can't pronounce the words.....
this bunch doesn't eat it..............Of course, we may be missing
some good stuff, because I can't pronounce it.............LOL

Canning started out as a hobby.....now it's a "given"...........
Hey, I'm 5'5".....Kendra is 6' at 16. Don't know that I can
teach them anything..........but I can "grow 'em".......LOL

Gotta crash....we've got "stuff" to do in the morning so we can
head for POOPS............ Henny, come on ! ..................

See y'all Friday, or Saturday..................

I see a "Good One" comin.......................

Teva has to work tomorrow so we are planning on being there Sat. morning around 8 or just a tad earlier if traffic cooperates.

The first present I bought for Teva for her birthday was totally funny. For weeks beforehand she had talked about one of those compact clotheslines that turn. I knew that was what she wanted and she was soooo happy when she opened it up too... and realized that there was a Marlin .22 rifle in the box!!

Well, you are still married, so I guess she found the humor in your gift.

Well she learned to shoot at about 5yo so actually she was thrilled. Well once the shock wore off that she didn't get that stupid clothesline. Times of gifting are not for things needed, those are everyday items.

Am assuming the .22 was "hers".....Hey, the best gift I ever
got from my "ex" was the year I got my muzzel loader.......
Curtain fell and time passed.........and the "lovely person" lost
it at a pawn shop........along with my Dad's 870 Remington...
that I didn't even know he had..........................

Guess you just "gotta know your women".........LOL

Am hoping we'll be outta here by 10:00, so should put us in
KOA by 2:30.....cause they gotta be "outta here" that early
if they want to stop at a Denny's for a late breakfast...............
LOL....There's "method" to my "madness".....................

See ya.................

There is usually a good reason why spouses become "ex-spouses"

Hi, I am from Twin Oaks,Ok and I get to go to the meeting Sat.
I started out trying to order turkey eggs and that was a bad deal. Post office used the box to practive their scooer kicks. But out of six eggs that did surive 4 hatch but one dead. Then I ordered 20 poukts from Chris and was to pick them up Monday but the storm that roll in last Sat and the cold that followed killed them. So, I was thinking no turkeys to free range. Turkeys and me just same to be a bad idea. My computer had been down for a few weeks so yesterday I got back in here and this evening I was reading when I read Carla's post. Now I am doing the happy dance because I get to pick up 20 poults Sat. I better go see what I need to bring.
We are 3 hours away so it be a long drive but ever so worth it.

Oklahoma Lightning,

Welcome to the Okies in the BYC thread!!!! I'm glad you found us and super happy that you can meet a bunch of us this weekend at POOPS. Most of us will be meeting each other for the first time. I think it'll be a great time Saturday ... lots of food, birds, and visiting will be going on. You may even come home with more birds than you planned ... lots of people bringing birds and hatching eggs!

If we didn't have so many birds and other pets that we have to take care of, we'd be camping out on Saturday night. I think it would be a blast to hang out all night with a bunch of chicken crazy Okies.

Gifts for my wife when we were first married was Jewelry, now days I get her a New Hoe,rake
or a short handle axe..Just got her a Pitchfork for our 36 anniversary..Times sure change
