I know they aren't the best but I am wondering with some breeding I might be able to get better. I think the size & shape are good (I think anyways) but the white looks alittle dirty with a couple of black spots in the white.....is that normal? I swear I have lost my mind.

They are very skittish right now. I don't know if they will calm down.

Grace'sDad, I'm glad you joined the forum. Now you have a voice on here too! Do you have any birds, or are they all Grace's?

I've tried to convince Gerald to join also, but he prefers to be a lurker still.

Carla, that one I can answer

All the birds are pretty much mine (though, I don't have much money invested in them

). What I mean, is that at a show they go under my name. But..... Dad has said that he would like to get a breed of his own, so I think by the fall show season, we may have two seperate groups of entries

The Egg Man should definitely join in the fun more often

What do you need? I know you prefer show quality, all I have is a hatchery light brahma bantam hen. She lays good and makes a good mama when she goes broody.

That would be funny to see you and your dad competing against each other in shows

Funny you said something about the Egg Man. I think he sort of likes that title. I noticed he marked his Sonic cup at the Cement auction Egg Man, instead of his name ... well I think he did it, unless Al (who was sitting next to him) did.

BLANCHARD AUCTION:

Due to an FFA banquet Blanchard will not have an auction this Saturday but will be back on schedule as of May 23rd.

We are not sure what we will be doing but I may go to Jones have heard that it may be their last Chicken auction anyone else out there heard this?

I went to the Jones auction on POOPS night, and stayed thru the entire auction & nobody said anything about it being their last. Where did you hear it?

We had Smoked Sausage, mashed potatoes with brown gravy and corn, uuuummmmm umummmm good, Monty thanks for the report on the poops funds and for taking the money to Lisa, hope things are better for her soon,,
I would like to do a Talaquah mini meet!!! Maybe a river float too!!!
I like the Krebs meet idea also, even thogh it too would be along drive for us,, the wife may come too!!!
Grace, too bad they are all bantums, I could use some Golden Laced Wyandot hens!!
Man I am tired from just catching up from reading!!
TJsNaNa, I know what you mean , I live next to a hiway too and they would wipe me out if they widened it, it has taken us a long time to find this place and we don't have it payed for yet, but I don't want to have to move again, the church next door is really hard trying to buy us out to make their parking lot bigger, they are landlocked and no one around them will sell and they are growing bigger and bigger, were parking on the grass raod side last sunday!!! Lynn

I dont know but the rain just passed us. Got everything good and wet all over again. On a good note, my cochin hen who is broody looks like her eggs will hatch within a few days, they are taking up most of the egg adn moving great. I just gotta get her a small pen to raise her young in. I hope all 4 hatch out, they are developed great.
