Well I finally jumped in... Sonya sent some of the eggs she had for me to incubate. They are a little old so don't know how many if any will hatch.
This morning I went out to feed aqnd water the chicks I got at POOPS and one of the older ones is hurt or sick . It is unable to walk. I put it into a separate box. I have no idea what happen, it was perfectly fine last night

Going into labor!?! - when are you due? I didn't think "omg she is going to have that baby any second" when I met you at POOPS (I actually thought, "What a cute couple...what nice pullets they have"). I figured you had at least a couple of months left...right?

Angel (on my shoulder): "I wish I could take your pullets - they'd fit right into my flock...but I can't - my hen house isn't big enough, and I already have too many."

Devil (on my other shoulder): "I could got one of those coops like the green & white one okcarla found on craigslist...and put it down on the back acre, then I'd have plenty of room."

Angel (on my shoulder): "NO NO stop thinking like that! You CANNOT have more clucks."

Devil (on my other shoulder): "AND you could get a goat to eat the poison ivy and all those weeds you are too lazy to mow...it's not like your druggie neighbors will ever dare rat you out to the city."

And the argument continues...

I shouldn't ask this, but where are you located? If I am lucky you will be close, if not then my husband will be lucky.
When are you due? I am due the end of June.

The only bantams that I know of that come in crele and are in the US are OEGB. There could be others, though......
I only have the BTW Japanese. Were you wanting to trade in general, or for those specific breeds/varieties?
Thanks

I don't know. The egg carton said crele bantam .... nothing else

I'm sure hoping they are oegb ... what other breeds are there in crele? They sure look the same shape as my wheaten oegb chicks, and just as bouncy.

Do you have or know of anyone that will want to do some trading for unrelated chicks? I've also got some blacktail buff japanese chicks that are a couple of weeks old from the Cement auction. I'm starting to get hooked on these little bantams. I've got bantam rosecombs in the incubator from 3 ebay auctions I bought recently ... most colors except black!

cityclucks - Well If I go by when I had my last one, I am due in a little over a week.

After this past week though was really thinking I'd go early, beginning to look like she was just trying to fake me out, onry kid. I totally understand the angel devil argument - I think I have one of those daily

Cleochick - Yukon

I hope you're lucky cause it would be nice to have them dealt with. They really went to the back burner this last week and a half between labor pains and our fridge going out. Chances are I won't have time again to really try to relocate them till a month or so after babe is born unless it happens this week. Just let me know

Grace - If you have any of those turkens available later on, I'm interested!

Carla - I sooo wish I'd gotten some turkeys from you at POOPS.

How much do you sell your hatching eggs for?

I made it through the rain and lightening, oh and minor flooding on the roads, and took my test.

It was the last day to do it (yes, I procrastinate!).

I have two broodies, a standard cochin and a cubalaya

I gotta figure out what eggs to put under the cochin, maybe a bunch of d'uccle eggs.

I'll probably have some turkens available from jimshappycowboy. Maybe some splashes and blacks. He crossed a blue orpington with his turkens to get the blues.

I sell turkey eggs for $2.50 each and poults for $8 each. I have about 50 poults in the brooder now!

Carla, oh that's right! I completely forgot about the RC coming in Crele

Tara, Dad's going to Hugo this Thursday. If you want the Marans soon, that might be the best time to meet up with me (well, Dad).
