he is a riot- he is just beginning a squeaky crow, first time he did that all the others ran for cover! they won't argue with him, but wait till he is looking the other way then chase the youngest ones... then he charges after them...

nnbreeder - the first MalayX hen hatched out 10 Malay X ???? eggs today. I moved her to a long cage with her babies and another two that hatched in the incubator today. That little bantam hen with 12 fuzzies under her is cute.

All 4 hens are setting now, I gave some duck eggs to one that was sitting on a golf ball and a chalk egg. One has guinea eggs that should hatch next week and the other one just has a golf ball and two chalk eggs. I will give her something that will hatch, later this week. I may see if she will hatch the golden pheasant eggs that I have been saving for the incubator.

Just checking in..... I asked Bill about this Falls Creek camp. He
says his sister used to go up there a long time ago...he had to
do all the chores and never got to go. Is it a Baptist Church
Camp still, or..... I had never heard of it. I'd work in the kitchen...
but that would be the end of it.....LOL Like I've always told
everyone that asked...."I don't know that I can teach 'em
anything....but I can sure grow 'em."

Remember the movie years ago, "White Men Can't Jump" ?
Well, White Girls can....LOL I had the kids out yesterday trimming
all the suckers off my poor Tulip Tree out front. They had a good
sized pile of limbs gathered up. I was trying to charcoal their
supper and....in a matter of about 10 seconds....I hollered at
Kendra to come get this one limb out of the walkway....TJ dived
into the pile of limbs....She grabbed the one that was in the way...
and TJ came up outta there growling......She'd have cleared a
yardstick.....Yup, the chase was on......... There's no way we could
live in town....The neighbors wouldn't put up with it.......

They've been out there today building fence so we can leave
this place for a couple of extra days over NPIP class, so had
to break down and turn on the A/C. Sure feels good, but dread
the bill.

I am interested in some birds...say 1/2 dozen silkies, 6 mille fluer deuccle (can you sex any of them yet?) Gotta call the guy about the cochins (I think he wanted full size)

The paperwork I got from the Dept of Ag says the class starts at 10:00 and that is what Marie told me when I talked to her. I was relieved, because getting anywhere at 8:00 am is next to impossible for me..... even though I usually get up at 6:15 am.

My unhappy turkey egg buyer just filed a paypal dispute. This is what he says:

"I purchased 20 turkey eggs. I was sent a total of 29 of damages, extra for damaged eggs. Upon arrival I found 13 broken leaving me short of what I bought. I contacted seller at least 10 times and sent several pictures and she finally agreed to replace the damaged eggs but I must pay full shipping. I agreed to pay half. She denied and I said to refund my money for the damaged eggs and have not heard from her since. I have all my emails and photos to prove my case. I think a refund of $15 for the eggs and $5 for shipping."

My response: "I requested a picture of the eggs showing markings that I put on the eggs so that I could identify them, which you did not. You sent a picture of 12 broken eggs and no markings that I put on my eggs. I offered replacement eggs for shipping cost."
