Good Morning, All !!! Is this weather gorgeous, or what ??????
Was 60o here in Tahlequah this morning !!!!!

Luvs - Sounds super. Those little rats are soooo cute running
around tripping over their own feet feathers....LOL

One of our "young" BYC'ers gets some "kuddos" this morning.
Slightly Cracked (Neecy) , John, and "All-Star Team Member,
Shaun" are down here in Tahlequah for the Little League
State Championship Tournament. We went out and watched
their first game last night. They're a pretty darned good team !

They played Cherokee County, so we had to sit way down
on Shaun's team's side, so we didn't get caught by the locals
rooting for the visiting team........LOL After 3 innings the
score was 11-0, and they called the game. I asked Shaun
if he didn't feel the least bit bad about coming down here and
whippin' 'em that bad. He kinda looked around, smiled, and
said, "Naahhhh".....LOL They play Chickasha this evening.
If we can get enough chores done early, we'll probably be
back out there this evening.

Robin sorry to hear about spike. I have lost one of my silkies that would of been the same age (if they are the one's from poops) I never figured out what the problem was but the rest are doing great.....If I hear of anyone with some I will let you know.

they are around 5 months i belive.she was askin around $7.50 but she said that was nego.i bought 140 off her 4 or 5 months ago an they were some of the best lookin chickens ive seen,she really feeds them well an no picked up birds.she is just a couple miles outside of town

Jones auction had a couple of roos. Did anybody hear how much they got for them ?
The auction starts 6 ish with the stuff..The stuff is indoors, saddles and all. Outdoor stuff next like trailers or stuff just to big to be indoors. Then on to the animals.... At least that's how it was last time.

Ok so I need to ask all of you chicken people for advice. On craigslist I found an ad for a bunch of cochin (and you all know how I love me some cochins

), silkies and a few other birds (one being a blue polish

). In total there are 15 birds all young and from what he has told me they are young and in excellent health. There are a number of pairs and some trios and such. He is asking $70 for all. This is a good price right?

Uli has already given the go ahead if I want them. Which of course you all know I do.
This is an influx of 15 birds to my population and I am a bit concerned. Although come to think about it I did loose 10 birds last weekend so really it is just an influx of 5.
Ok you all talked me into it. I am going to go get my chickens.

Well I got 2 more eggs today, I guess they take a break between eggs? My Black star gave me an egg and one of my bantams a Barred Rock Cochin Bantam and it was the cutest little egg I've ever seen. So, they will be 20 weeks on Monday and I have 3 layers so far...YIPPEEEE!.

Wow what a beautiful day although the swap meet was crappy but I did get to meet Carla and Gerald and Okie Ligtning (I am terrible with names!) But I got rid of all my roosters that I took so in the end I ended up getting rid of six roosters a huge waterer and came home with 26 white silkies!!!! Hope everyone else had a great day as well!!
