NNbreeder,
What are some common large breeds that would cross well with NN's. My goal is to have some big NN's.
I do want to find a good rooster but I thought I would keep playing with the one I have if I can cross him over some large hens.
What about Langshans?

The name doesn't ring a bell, but then again I know a bunch by face only. Is this someone I should know??.

No, Just a guy I used to work for. He used to own the ice plant in Lawton. I don't know if he still does.

That is really cool. You could use it for hauling chickens, lumber, chicken wire, and lots of other things.

I saw something similiar last weekend being driven by a fellow who bought it from a Nascar team (his didn't have seats) and he used it to move his family to Oklahoma from another state. When he arrived, he still had the vehicle for about what it would have cost him to rent a large Uhaul one way across the US and now he uses it like a pickup to haul his "project materials" home from the lumber store.

Mary,
I wish I could get the guy with the rooster cadillac to bring the car to POOPS but I don't think it runs anymore. It is sitting in his car lot out on south Agnre Ave. Have you seen it.? There was an article in the Oklahoman about it earlier this year.

We caught another skunk in the live trap last night. Don't know if it was the one that killed the turkey or if it is just one that has been eating eggs in unprotected nests, but I hope there was only one skunk left and that we now have them all relocated on a permanent basis.

I saw the car several years ago. It is a hoot! I will have to go to the Oklahoman's files and see if I can find the article. I have always wondered why people do that kind of thing to perfectly good vehicles

I have gotten my best crosses from the Giants in both black and blue and Australorps. They hold the basic body type better and are massive birds. Remember the NNs atre decended from Oriental Games so their body weight will be more then their body looks like it would be. Years ago we had a blue NN that was 15 pounds as a young cockerel. He was a Giant, NN cross.
