Hey not sure if I can post this here but anyone that is local in and around the Elgin area

I am selling 5 of my 3 week old ducks for $5 a piece, they were part of a package backyard deal through an online hatchery(trying to get my turkeys and geese) I am not a duck person there for I dont know the breed of them... I am sure they might make someone a great farm pet or future Sunday Dinner.

(Excuse the gosling trying to get in the picture)

Oh, just work is all. I was out of it yesterday. There is some weird bug going around that messes with your ear canal and throws off your balance. My wife had it week ago and it scared the heck out us thinking it might be a stroke. Took her to the ER and they said it was just vertigo. Yesterday I was crossing the street and it was like walking the deck of a ship during a typhoon. Because wife had a similar experience I figured it wasn't a stroke but went home anyway.

Today I found out two other staff members have had the same thing, so it must be some sort of bug.

Feeling fine today, though. You working today?

Well, a fella can't have too many ducks! They look like Pekins. They are beautiful on our pond, and they always look so happy out there. I'll see what I can figure out, since we just lost one of ours to Monster Killer Turtles.

Hey, Carla, if that is an open offer about your GP and if Jeannie isn't interested, I'd like to chat with you about it.

Buster,

Yea just let me know, I feel bad because I am not equipped to handle them and I feel I am doing them more injustice by keeping them. They are quite spastic and freak out on me, where as the geese and turkeys are like HEY HOWS IT GOING. I also was not prepared for how fast they grow( something the books were not quick to say)...

OK. I've never left my birds out of their pens, since we raise too many breeds & want to keep them pure, so I don't know how Daisy would do if the birds were to free range but I've taken her in the pens with me and she just stands still and watches them. She gets along with all my other dogs and cats too.

Great! Let me PM you about her. I appreciate the consideration.

Ahhhhhhh....beautiful rain...and we got quite a bit of it here in
Tahlequah. Hope all of you got a round or two. We got three
different waves. I won't fuss about the humidity.......

Ronnie, question for you......I went to Wally World and bought
a really nice "honeydew mellon"...thumped it...smelled it......
all the normal "checking stuff" that us Na-Nas do. Brought it
home and sliced it last night.........What is this????? Is it a
"new fangled fruit" ? It's a honey dew mellon on the outside,
but a cantelope on the inside........... Oh, it was good, just was
expecting a Honeydew Mellon.....LOL Figured you might know.

Neecy - Expected to hear that you had "Baby Huey" lookin'
chicks in your incubator by now.

Greybear - Recipe is on the way......LOL

Pyranese - Know what you're getting into.....They'll eat their
weight in your water hoses or anything they can get ahold of....
melt your heart, become another "human" member of your
family, on and on.....And then, they turn 1 year old !!!!!
They will guard your stock, guard your place, be the first to
"shake down" anyone that pulls in your driveway,...never bit
anyone....noone would push her........ But, even a female will
chase cyotes off your place.....and chase them as long as they'll
run....... We finally found Sassy 3/4 miles from the house after
chasing a family of coyotes clear out of the county....but the
truck that topped the hill didn't have a clue.

When we win the lottery and can have 1,000 acres and are 6
miles from any pavement...........Oh, there'll be another
Pyranese....... I say that.....But, don't think any of us are "over"
Sassy, yet. Am sure all of us have had "that one dog" that we'll
never forget.

Enough of that. What's goin' on with everybody?

Have a good one !

Huh. You mean like a drop trap?

The drop traps work but they are not as good on the big snappers. Those need to be caught in some type of baited trap.
He just used a cage. Tied a string to the door. He put some meat in it and then tossed it in the pond. Not too far out. Usually the trap wasn't even submerged all the way.
About every 20 to 30 minutes he would pull the door shut and then pull it out of the pond.
