Afternoon all, oh boy does my jungle look alot better. That new mower makes lite work of it now, except I ran out of gas. Dang dang dang. Oh well Lynn should be home soon and he can go get gas. I am sure he will want to "play" on it some. I think soon we are going to disassemble the garden fence and now it. It would make better grass anyway. The very best grass we have is in the garden. Potatoes didnt do very well, corn the worms got to it or it turned moldy beans are just now starting to make. We planted okra and blackeyed peas for fall crop and they are just not doing very good. We wont even talk about the tomatoes.

Oh yea Lynn wont be able to make the fall POOPS, he is going to Virginia. Both sad and happy about that. We will get our medical insurance back and better $$$ but he will be gone for a while.

Now we gotta get everything ready so I can be ready for winter here alone. Me the dogs and the chickens. I am probably going to downsize big time for the winter.

Yes Carla that sweet baby girl is growing fast, she sure is adorable.
My grand daughter Claire is a month old today and her DR visit last week she is up to 5 lbs 12 oz. She will catch up soon. She still has a little over a month before she was even suppose to be here.

We had rain today now it is muggy but not to hot. Really nice day.

We're looking for seramas also, if you find someone who raises them. We have a couple we picked up from auctions, but we would like some more.

Yay! I love rain in August, such a rare treat in Oklahoma!

TJ's Na-Na :

Ronnie, question for you......I went to Wally World and bought
a really nice "honeydew mellon"...thumped it...smelled it......
all the normal "checking stuff" that us Na-Nas do. Brought it
home and sliced it last night.........What is this????? Is it a
"new fangled fruit" ? It's a honey dew mellon on the outside,
but a cantelope on the inside........... Oh, it was good, just was
expecting a Honeydew Mellon.....LOL Figured you might know.

!

Eulaine : LOL that is called a Crenshaw Mellon, they are very very juicey and the taste is great. that is what I think you have gotten, or on the other hand it could also be Casaba mellon they are very similar I like the Crenshaw myself.

Al I wish that I could say that I would take some quail but I am still to new to take those on right now, so I am going to stick with chickens but I do know some guys that raise quail around here and I will let them know and I may pick some up for them if they want some

Eulaine, no baby heuys yet! They was due yeasterday, when I candled yesterday I saw movement so maybe my temp was a degree or two to low making them hatch a couple of days late.

Shaun cooked supper tonight and it was delish!! He bake spaghetti squash with butter and then melted provalone and mozerella cheese on it. Served it topped with sausage and speghetti sauce. He did good!

I asked her if she wanted to do homeschooling because she has had such an issue with some of her classmates, and since her best friend moved away. She said no, which is fine because I don't know that I could properly instruct her anyways having to work full time and attend school myself.

Anywho... We have family members that work for the school district at the high school, so maybe it will be okay this year.

Oklahoma now has virtual school. Its the same work and books as public school and you get a teacher ... I think it looks like a good deal.

I HAD THIS AND LOVE IT...
In California we had the biggest rats. HUGE... They ate up my landcruiser wires under the hood. I bought this bad boy and it got one everynight. No need to waste traps or look at dead nasty catches....
I would just dump the dead thing right in the trash can....
