Very interesting. The one I have is from a muffless blue EE hen and a Red NN rooster. It is red. I don't think it will lay a blue egg though. I am pretty sure it is a rooster.

Bantam malays:weee! They sound pretty interesting and unique. Do you have any pics to show us of them,

I picked up some standard malay chicks at Afton one year. Didn't know really what they were. Boy those the hugest chickens I ever raised!

They were goregous. The roos must have stood almost three feet tall. I didn't think they were ever going to stop growing. This was about ten years ago.

These will be a start, I will post more in a few minutes.

Even as bantams they are big with the roosters going close to five pounds. But not nearly as big as their standard counterparts!

That is one fine looking rooster.
I am looking for a rooster for my Malay x NN hens. They are laying eggs again but since I don't have any roosters in the flight pen with them, there won't be any little cute fuzzies from their eggs. One is still sitting on some EE eggs I gave her about 2 weeks ago.

While out feeding today I noticed something strange behind the coop, my neighbor decided to roll up and give me about 800'ft of good used chicken wire that was along one side of his fence. Wow what a nice guy.
