Good morning my fine Okie friends :
Up a little earlier this morning I gave my DW a few extra hours of sleep while I am on school prep duty. Got some nice rain late last night and it is really nice outside. Hope everybody is up and at'em ready for a good day.

Good morning all.... Yesterday was my kids first day back to school, and I didnt even get to enjoy it. On the first day I usually stay home and clean in the morning and then relax in the afternoon. I ran all day long yesterday trying to take care of all the errands I've been needing to do for the past 2 weeks. Today is going to be about the same. Maybe i will get to relax Friday before the kids are back home all day for the weekend. I hope everyone else is having a pleasant week.

We got alot of rain here last night. Started storming about 11 pm and kept going, I think all night! I get to go check the birds now to make sure all is well with them, I have babies on the ground, just hope they were smart and went to the back of the pen.

Good Morning! We got three inches of rain last night! Lots of rumblings and lightening strikes, but all is well in Elmore City!

All my outside feed dishes were full of water so I wasted a lot of good feed but it was worth that to have the pasture watered!

May be up your way soon, I need to get some birds from splitsocket222. Unless he can bring them to POOPS.

Good Morning fellow Okies!!!! Neecy i'm so proud of our bunny Tink!!!! i'm also proud of Shaun too!!!
he did such a great job!!!
looks like its gonna be getting colder here the next few mornings..calling for low of 56 on Saturday and 52 on Sunday!!!
Anyone else heard that this winter is gonna be hard???

thanks for all the duck advice and city thanks for the link.. double checked my feed sack and starter isn't medicated so guess i'm ok.. man do these guys take up alot of room... and i swear they are already looking for the pond.. i'm looking for a bowl big enough to drink from but not big enough to swim in... one was swimming round and round while the others were waiting in line this morning.. ... guys is there any such thing as a buff colored leghorn or am i probably looking at another breed.. i got 3 of them at an auction last year and they are built just like a leghorn but buff colored not brown.. lay white eggs and i love them but have never seen anymore.. if anybody has any they are for sure on my poops wish list.. thanks bunches

There are Buff Leghorns and Buff Minorcas which look similiar. Both are kinda rare. You can order them from a hatchery but you just don't see a lot of them around.
I ordered some Buff Minorcas onec but they were backordered or whatever and I canceled the order.
I would like to get some to cross with my Gold Campines.
Since I you love yours I guess that means you won't be sellingthem at POOPS.

buckguy put me down for 3 ...i'll either have my son and grandaughter (2 1/2) or a couple of friends.. ok i'm looking at my storeys poultry book .. my hens look more like the campine rooster than the hen only buff colored.. and they are not as heavy built as the minorca hen in the pic... i know you guys are going to ask me to post a pic and my computer won't let me right now ...

i redo old ladderback chairs and rockers also some kid chairs and put ragbottom seats in them.. you can check them out @http:/sundownerok918.etsy.com... but what would you think about one of the kid rockers for the auction.. i know it's not chicken themed but somebody might start thinking about christmas?...
