Hi ya'll been busy today outside.

We have been doing some work on a pick-up that Teva bought a couple of weeks ago. Been tuning it up and getting it ready to pull a gooseneck trailer, well once I get the ball in the bed and a brake control in it. Plus all the other stuff around here.

Hogs are getting to be a problem out around Watonga too. There are some private lands there where you can hunt them but most of Blaine Co. is tribal land and controlled by the BIA.

I have spent 3 days straight building a new coop for my birds. I am completely worn out.

Just for fun I decided to candle my Serama eggs tonight. I had them shipped and was worried about them because they are porous. They were set on the 3rd, so 4 days incubating. And guess what . . .






















all six have veins showing.

Can you tell I'm excited?

I am so glad yall were picking on me and leaving everyone else alone! I was working on my paper! It is done...turned in...and am waiting on the rejection! I only need 25 sticking points!!!

Those birds are so great looking! Yes that should work great for them to drink! WOW!!! I have parlor rollers!!! And the perfect little home for them...well a pair of them that will be my demos!!! Just can't do it outside...my stupid cats figured out that bird tastes good!

I might need to do a talk on how to trap hogs for yall...I have some experience in that department...two rules...don't do it alone and carry a gun! those big boars are bad news...shoot on sight...take a picture and let lay!!! All 30 lbers should be given directly to Teach! He will split and roast and have a very nice evening!

Don - if you end up with pigeons let me know...I know a guy that wants to give some to another guy's kid so they can have pigeons

by the way...those giant runt house sized pigeons are cool but not great breeders that is why they tend to be kinda pricey and if you saw them cheap

Teach, I am sorry I am ignorant when it comes to pigeons. They sold for $5 each and he sold about 40 of them in 20 minutes. I think they all ended up in some exotic Oriental pigeon dishes.
I started to buy some and backed off out of not knowing how to take care of them.
Plus some guy conned my son into getting quail last spring and now I have them running out my ears.

hey guys...have spent the last few days trying to get lice eggs off my silkie..... any special remedy to loosen them up? poor little thing has them matted around her face and have tried dawn, and a toothbrush... who ever came up with superglue had nothing on these critters

We had a girl in school that we ridiculed because she had lice...for like years! I should be ashamed of myself...

I always put those flat marbles in the bottom of the waterer. You can get them at walmart. Get the bigger ones so moma doesnt try to eat them.

Good morning everyone.. Hope everyone had a great labor day weekend! Nothing exciting here. Went to the Lexington Auction last night, they had more stuff than usual, no birds to speak of though. 2 incubators and a hatcher, a couple of brooders, and a whole trailer full of cages they sold.
