Is anyone in need of a French Black Copper Maran roo? I know of 2 of them and they are out of the Jean whatever line. I'm swapping some baby ducks for a roo and she has 2 more if anyone is interested. They are 19 weeks old. Let me know and I'll bring them to POOPS.

(Edited to change name to Wade Jeane line.)
If you can get them at a fair price, I am sure there will be folks interested at POOPS. Would be great for the auction.

Wade Jeane is his actual name, out of Georgia. He is or was the president of the American Marans Club, or at least that's what I found on a google search. I also have quite a few BC roos, or I did. Most have gone to the poultry auctions, sold as excess roos, probably sold to be eaten

For some reason, it seems that most of the BC's I hatched are roos

I got most of my BC's from Gene Williams in Crescent, and they are pure Wade Jeane lines, but I also bought some from other sources. Jeane's marans lines are some of the VERY BEST in the USA!

Hmmm ... maybe I should donate some roos to the auction!

Oh, and one thing about Wade Jeane lines of BC marans is that there is a chance of hatching Wheaten marans chicks from them. I found that out from the eggs I purchased earlier this year and then reading about it. The Bev Davis lines of BC's don't have that problem, or that's what I hear.
