I sure enjoyed visiting with you and hearing your stories.

When you come down for deer camp, we'll have to see about meeting up for lunch or dinner sometime.

Maybe you can come to dinner at deer camp. I tell my best stories around a nice camp fire. There's nothing better than a camp in the woods, surrounded by good friends and a good camp fire.

When you live as long as I have, surrounded by the characters that I seem to attract, you can't help but have a few good stories.

Heck yeah, I'll come to deer camp!

That little rooster is not a cross, he is full bantam Malay and I chose him because of his personality. Puppy dog sweet and he followed me around like one too whether I had a feed bucket or not! He is a late hatch and should be about half grown. If anything like his dad he will be good to the hens too, they never have a feather out of place

He is going to be the only rooster allowed in the flight pen with the younger birds and the Malay x hens I got from you this Spring. I am looking forward to some new peeps from him and the 4 hens. Of course, two of the hens are currently guarding baby chicks like the great mothers they are, so it will be awhile before he gets a chance to visit with them. One of the hen hatched out 7 chicks from large fowl eggs I gave her and the chicks are about 2 weeks old now. She was spread out like an airplane with her wings outstretched over the chicks this morning since it was so cool. Thank you for the clarification on his ancestry.

Great article in the Gazette - and I saw where your OKCchickens.com was mentioned on the Oklahoma Sustainability Network Yahoo group also. Good luck!

Wear some tall boots and bring a shovel. Sometimes the BS gets deep.

Those biscuits were some of the best I have eaten - particularly when I put some of the sweet relish that was in the middle of that beautiful relish tray on top of the biscuits. I would really like the recipe for the biscuits and the relish.

Greybear - I had a peanut butter and Mt. Dew jelly sandwich for breakfast this morning. Really good jelly.

I'm glad I got to know BarnSwallow and Cook-E too. I feel like we're kindred spirits in that we all enjoy oldies music. She named a bunch of the same artists that are on my playlists. Even tho they are nowhere near my age, I no longer feel like such a dinosaur.

Mama is glad to have her chick back. The rooster has already "flown the coop" - literally - but he is handsome walking around the yard.
Thank you sooo much for allowing me to purchase them from you. I have wanted adult Saipans for a very long time. This Spring I will pen them up together in a covered run, so they can create little Saipans.

No I am sorry, I just had the lone one left that hatched late. I wish had some playmates for it.
He was out of the last egg to hatch.
I don't plan to hatch any more chickens till next year. I might hatch some more quail since I have a bunch of eggs that need to be used for something. Maybe some itty bitty omelets.

Well, it's been a wonderful weekend....kind of sad that it is already over. We had been looking forward to POOPS for several months and now that it's over makes it kind of sad. However, I'm sure there will be another very soon as I think we had so much fun we won't be able to resist another.

Monty, Al, Quenston, Teach....thank you so much for being such good sports and making us laugh till our sides hurt. The next day I was still laughing every time I thought about the hilarious costumes. You all made my day.

To EVERYONE that helped in the planning: THANK YOU! I know you all put in many, many hours that you could have spent otherwise. Thanks for having such giving hearts and kind spirits for an event that touched so many lives.

Cara....thank you for allowing me to help...you were wonderful to make us feel a part of everything...very kindly telling us what we could do to help...I know that pressure when everyone is calling your name a zillion times gets very old...you handled it so well.

Beth...thanks for being so wonderful to work with...you were so kind and sweet to contact me.

Al and Monty.... A HUGE thank you. I know you both have worked so many hours trying to make sure everything came off well. You did wonderful. Everything was so organized ran well considering you did so many new things. It'll just keep getting better.

Thank you to everyone that made me laugh so hard. I loved the sparring with Tina and the others at the auction. It was a HOOT.
