Wow Stimpy- That is really scary stuff. I am sorry you had to go through that. Do you usually have to double check such things? It is amazing the things I take for granted. It will make me more careful with my diabetic patients thanks for sharing.

Donna--- My silkies usually lay about 8-12 eggs and go broddy. Its real;ly not hard to get them to set. They seem to live for it!

Stimp - I am glad you are alright.

That is scary to think that you are so badly affected by sugar. Did you call the Starbucks and tell them what happened? I doubt very many of the personnel have any clue what can happen if they make a mistake regarding sugar-free, since for most people it is only a weight issue.

Yeah, I'm just glad that I wasn't driving. I might have killed myself, or someone else. It scared Lou pretty badly. And when she calmed down she called Starbuck's to tell the manager to warn his staff about those dangers. Caffeine vs decaf isn't too much of a problem but a lot of us have to be very careful around sugar.

The rest of the story - I gave up on making dumplings 25 years
ago...didn't matter what I did...I couldn't do it. Donna laughed
at me "foundering" on her dumplings at POOPS, and gave me a
couple of tips. Gees, what's next?............Help me here, Donna,
I can't make my own scratch pie crusts either.................

Well, Pa-Pa came back in earlier and we lost 14 little birds
to all the rain. They had cut the visqueen off for the summer
and hadn't replaced it before this "surprise" weather attack.
Thankfully the Barred Cochin and Crele chicks that we had left
were OK and he put them back in the brooder until we can get
everything put back in "winter" mode. Sounds like "fall" is
gonna be a short one and "winter" is trying it's best to slide
on in.


OK, after the Idabell show tomorrow, and I think there's another
one down near Okema that is sponsored by Creek Nation, how
many of us are going to Fayetteville, November 7th? Gonna
wear your POOPS shirts?????

Eulaine...I told you anyone could make dumplings.

You'll be making them every week for those kids now.

Now, about that crust...ANYONE can make homemade crust also if they can follow a recipe. I'll look my recipe up tomorrow and post it. It is the best recipe I've ever found and it was given to me about 10 years ago by a 95 year old grandma....so that tells you how good it is.

Did you and Bill decide on a day for sure for the mini show lessons? I sure want to learn more about showing chickens.
