If you don't mind "mutt" eggs, you can have whatever is laid today and tomorrow. Both roosters in the pen are Americauna and the hens are an assortment of Americauna, Red sex link, and black sex link. The 17 hens are only laying about 8 eggs per day right now, but that would give you some to hatch.

ain't no enforcement on dog issues the police chief feeds them forever or until he takes them home

my dogs got out awhile back. Guy said your dogs are out and have been at the Coop all day...I kept having to run them off...I said...you knew they were my dogs and you didn't call me?...my dogs don't roam...they were missed

I think that I will use my 7stw

Yea really same here. I am still kinda wondering about that GREEN chicken tho.

In my dream Jason and I came across a lady who had Green Topped Chickens as if chickens could have mohawks thats what they looked like...
I then proceeded to tell the lady with the green chickens about the BYC and Poops and that she should get on here and join..... Even in my dream I kept questioning the reality of it all... GREEN CHICKENS... Are They For REAL or are they the ones with GREEN EGGS? That Sam I Am was forcing the other guy to eat in Dr Seuss

The bad part is there is chickens that do have mohawks...........I have one. He might have a tint of green in him.

I have had them dreams.............you know your dreaming and cant wake up.......I have dreams of Gorillas and giant fly's doing surgery.

Actually, I'm not sure it is a meat grinder at all. One guy came by after I bought it and said it is a seed mill. Which is fine. It means I can now grind my own homegrown organically certified hippiefied chicken feed.

Which really appeals to a bonafide wannabe treehugger like me.

Its been cold and wet here just as long as the rest of the state. I think its been raining for over a week. The highs haven't gotten out of the 60s. We just get the weather before the rest of you. Well except for the poor souls in the panhandle. I didn't get birds until last Spring. I really don't know what to expect. I keep looking for the egg supply to drop but it never does. I have birds that look like they are molting but still lay eggs. I could probably stuff a good size pillow with all the feathers in the coop. I only have 10 chickens, 8 layers. I get on average 6-7 eggs from them a day. I have 5 guinea, 4 layers. I get 3-4 eggs a day from them. I have 6 ducks, 2 layers. I get 2 eggs a day from them. My ducks only go in the coop to lay their eggs. They prefer to sleep outside. Even in all the rain, they stayed outside and usually in the stock tank. My guineas also like to sleep outside with the ducks. Sometimes they actually roost with the chickens though. I guess they are just happy birds.

On another note, my one day old EEs are bigger than my 3 week old Serama. That Serama is not growing at all. I think it is going to be a Class A on size. I just hope it has good a stance. Its wings are almost fully feathered and have dropped. Its tail feathers are about 1/2 inch long and stand straight up. I think I've got a little roo. Of course that would be my luck. One out of six eggs - it has to be a roo. Oh well. I still love it. It hops in my hand everytime I am near.

Edited because I can't spell today. Too much cockeral in me and not enough pullet.

Jim : I have one of those older style meat grinders I don't use anymore since Laura Bought me a cool electric one for my B-Day. I tell ya you will tire quickly of the manual kind if you process allot of meat, but they do make you stronger LOL.

So it's Thursday. Which makes it time to start thinking about auctions on Saturday.

Anybody going to Fletcher on Saturday? Attendance should be better seeings it won't be going head-to-head against Cement this weekend.

I want to go to Fletcher Saturday but I got the stink eye from Laura when I mentioned attending yet another Saturday auction, Doesn't she know I already took her on her one date night this yr LOL. yeah I think I will try and make it.
