well we just got spanked with a huge downpour!!! Good news...Roof held!! Bad news...wind blew all the rain in the door!!!

Just went out in the middle of it and cleared out wet shavings and put down dry and sealed it up best I can so hens can get in and out, but hopefully will slow down the influx of rain!!!

88 chicks, 3 that have issues and may have to cull. I had 2 zip completely and not finish, the rest will have to wait. I have already had the incubator open more than I 'd like. Have some guinea eggs and 2 turkey eggs to finish, I hope.

Gosh they are noisey. Just peeping around. Gotta get their brooder box in the coop finished. They are in my office and have a smell...

3 outta 88? Dang that's awesome!!! Peeping can get annoying...I keep mine in the office too. I always tell myself that at least they ARE peeping.... nothing is scarier than a quiet brooder full of chicks. I make sure they have their "lamp god" and they are usually pretty happy...peaceful peeping...not stressed peeping. But push comes to shove...if you are in there for any length of time...peeping is peeping!
