Grace, I think I had talked to you (or your Dad or both) about Corey's OEGB hen getting RB and Resv Game at the Idabel show and being a little confused.

I think ABA has Modern Game and Game as two different classes. Modern Game is the only breed within the class. Game class has both OEGB and American Game Bantam breeds in it.

APA has the Game Bantam class which includes both Modern and Old English breeds.

Since there was no American Game Bantams, Corey's hen got the Reserve Breed and Reserve Game.

The reason is was so confusing is because I was thinking APA instead of ABA.

I definitely have got to get an ABA Standards now. I just had an ah-ha moment and had to share.

Sherri, okay that sounds right... I get confused about that too, though!
I guess it's like my White Pekin Drake getting Res. V, Res. B, Res. Class, and Res. Waterfowl.
If he got Reserve variety, that should have put him out of the running for "any" of those other things, but since there were only two ducks..........

just a note about cutting stuff with saws and all that...they do make a blade for cutting metal...and for concrete...and for chickens! maybe not chickens but they do make metal cutting blades and it is alot easier on the saw and everything else!

Darn forgot to mention...I got button quail eggs in the mail today

If you want the pair of Silver Sebrights (they were very nice), the guy's brother wanted $50 for the pair of them. I can get in touch with him or give you his number. I bought my Wood Ducks from him so I have his number on the transfer paperwork. He lives in Bonham, TX so it would be about an hours drive to look at them.

I need another Wood Duck hen so you wouldn't have to twist my arm very hard to entice me to make the trip with you if you wanted.

I thought hard about them. They are beautiful. The cocks wings touched the ground and had the signature upright posture. The lacing was very uniform on all their feathers. I have a beginner's eye for choosing quality birds but they really stood out from all the other birds.

The Durant auction has gotten to be a normal hangout for me now. I always have my eye out for possible show birds.
