morning all- gettin my coffee and byc fix before i start the day... looks like a day to dry out, need to figure out a way to keep that run drier- what a mess! and my poor cochin girl is wearing dirty pants again

Good morning Okies,
Looks like the clouds are moving rapidly in a SE direction. Hopefully they will move the misting out and bring us just enough wind to dry out the chicken pens, without blowing tree limbs into them.

Need to set up a brooder for the few quail that hatched - guess I can't keep them in the incubator any longer. Those things are like popcorn - need to find a tall box to keep them from hopping out.

Morning all.

Nope I wont be able to go to the auction. I will be at my daughters 25th b-day party. She lives about 7 miles from the auction. Just maybe, I can sneak away and at least come visit. Lynn will be with me so I cant buy any thing(maybe he wont want to go). I do need some new pullets tho. Most all my girls are 1+ yrs old with some being 3+ yrs old.

I had completely forgotten about it. I will see about getting it to you at Blanchard. There we go that can be the reason to ...........stop by.

If you can bring the cage to Blanchard, I can give it to Monty and then pick up my hens from him next week, instead of him bringing them to Blanchard. That would be one less thing to put into the magic poultry van.

Good morning all. Rany here today! I winterized my pigeon loft yesterday. Lined the north and west walls with plastic to keep out cold drafts.
Placed the three broody hens with chicks in there then,they all staked out a corner,ee bantams are so cranky as mothers.
I'm outta room and the big sale is tomorrow! Good news is my heart cath has been resheduled till Nov so I get to go to the national young bird show in Louisville Ky. Yeah!!
