I had an idiot like that. Mean little Leghorn, always getting out of his tractor and running over to harass my big BO, who happened to have the ladies all to himself in the chicken yard. One day the big guy got out. Oh, my that was funny to watch. First the Leghorn was charging at him, then you see the split second where he realizes there is no fence between them. Oh lord what would I have done for a camera at that moment! You can't tell me chickens can't show emotion on their faces.

There was this span where the Leghorn disappears under a mountain of golden feathers and I thought that was the end of him for sure, when he suddenly squirts out and is gone in a second.

After that when he got out and ran over to visit the ladies, when he saw Randy raring at him on the other side of the fence, he suddenly became interested in a bug on the ground that he hadn't seen before and pretended that was his whole reason for being there all along.

Chickens are such funny people.

I still think I have a better chance at riding a bull than learning to rope. Lol

I came home to find hubby watching that show 'Pregnant and Didn't Know It".

He used to be an EMT, so he likes all these unusual shows. But really, does anyone believe this one? I've never been pregnant, but I just can't imagine not knowing your pregnant til the baby shows up...

Yeah, people like that make me nuts. I see a dog on the side of the road and I slow down or stop, then see people coming in the other direction not even slowing down, like they know for sure that dog isn't going to run in front of them.

I can't decide if they don't see it, don't care, or are too stupid to know any better.

None so blind as those who WILL not see....

Obtuse...

I think they know it...it's a question of what they want to know.

If I ignore it...it will go away...

Ostrich with it's head in the sand....

OK... maybe in the case of EXTREMELY obese folks with a gland disorder that would preclude cousin Red comin' to vist from the country once a month...

But if your a regular Joe (or in this case...Jane) Your period stops and you look like you ate a bowling ball for dinner...You KNOW your pregnant...you just don't want to admit it!!!

Yes, that's what I've been looking at. I was in one of the metal ones at Lowes the other day and it started raining. It was so noisy. I'm thinking wooden would be better. I wouldn't want chickens to go crazy in a hard thunderstorm and ruin their feathers.

With bigger purchases, I generally think long and hard before I make a decision. I would really like everyone in a smaller area. Right now chores take me between 30 minutes to a hour a day but if I wasn't going all over the place it might not take so long.

I just caught up with y'all... got off work a half hour ago from the second job. Sitting here, just ate dinner and had something to drink. Would probably go to bed if it didn't hurt my feet to walk. Right now I'm thinkin' that temporary amputation of the offending appendages would be a GOOD thing.

Just think... tomorrow morning I have to drive out to Choctaw to drop of J's son at daycare because J has to be at work at 430 am, then drop my daughter off at before school care, and get myself to work by 7 am. I'm already tired just thinking about it. Wait, I'm just already tired!

I applied for a couple jobs today that will hopefully pay better so I can drop this second job crap. I don't have my degree (about 2 years away from a bachelors) but there's gotta be *something* out there that I can actually DO that 1. isn't a dead end job and 2. pays enough that I don't need a second job to pay off debt and afford this rather expensive chicken habit!

it is raining and cold and

Cammie, The metro isn't supposed to get the storms and heavy rain until about 6 or 7 in the morning.
P&B My best guess at weather is rain tomorrow, clearing here in afternoon with rain to the East until evening.
Friday, cool, 50's, but dry and Saturday mid 60's and sunny, a perfect Autumn day. Sunday sunny and warmer mid 70's beautiful day. Nice day to take a nap in the car.
Just a hunch.
