Is anyone going to the Blanchard auction on Saturday? I am planning on going if the weather isn't sucking popsicles. I need an auction fix in the worst way. Does this mean I am addicted to poultry???

Buster: jason and I are trying to follow a similar path just as you stated... we cant afford to just house a bunch of "pets" for us, especially when we want to be more sustained on our own accord and less reliance on outside sources part of the factor we bought this place in well the first place... second is because farming is in my family blood

... Like you we also think to each his own when it comes to their desire for chickens ect.

Animal Vegetable Miracle is a great read!Very insightful and makes you go hmmmm on alot of things.

It's funny, but it doesn't really seem that long ago. Well, sometimes it doesn't. AT other times, I look at those pictures and I have trouble remembering when I was that young.

Ok, I'm beginning to not even want to TRY incubating anything.

Have had the incubator set up for a couple days. It was holding temp while empty, and I knew I'd have to slightly adjust the temp when the eggs went in and came up to temp. So. It's on an inside wall, out of the way of any drafts. It's well protected. Nothing bumps it, etc. But the heat went up to 104 today between when I left at 830 this morning and when I got home around 530 tonight. I don't know how long it'd been at 104.
