His conversations this morning involved chicken tractors and feed - not his plans for the day. Sorry. You might just need to call him if you need something.
...... and I am still trying to figure out what his signature line really means

Evening everyone...

Hope you all had a much more productive day than I had! I looked at wallpaper nearly all darn day long on the internet, so my behind is numb and my eyes are about to pop out of the sockets... I didnt even have a cup of coffee today either..

Anyhoot at least I got my choice of wallpaper picked out now I just need to figure out how many rolls I will need.... Jason insisted I get Chicken Wallpaper for the mud/laundry room I said ummmmm no, to me that is getting a lil bit obsessive. ha ha.

So what have you all been up to?

Hello all. I didn't get home tonight until 8:00. I am straight out TIRED!!! Went through all the post from last night and today and I've gotta say, "You guys sure can talk!"I just put Lauren to bed and am thinking of going to bed myself. The birds are all doing good.

Q that is a cute little baby. Congrats to your family.

Matt those are some fine looking birds.

I'm sure there is something I am forgetting, but right now I am too tired to care. I hope everyone has a good evening.

Well at least the weather was good enough to throw the shop doors open today. And that's the only thing even close to good about working today.

The boss got a hair-brained idea that it would be cheaper to adapt a used flatbed to his pick-up instead of just letting me weld up a new one. So I cut down an 11 foot bed to 8 foot. Cut off and rebuild the headache rack on the front, take out dents, grind off old welds and re-weld etc. So far I think I have close to 60 hours tied up in this deal and nearly 20 pounds of welding wire. Or just in labor roughly twice what I could have done a new one, steel, labor and all. And I estimate there will be another 20 or so hours to go.
Oh and sandbast and paint yet too.

On the truck the engine still has to be built and the sad thing is that after all this work he will still have a '93 Powerstroke 4x4 that is only worth a couple of thousand dollars.

That is the problem we ran into when we built onto and remodeled this house. After investing countless hours and twice as much as we paid for the original house, we still have a house that was built in the 50's with small rooms and almost no closets. The new addition almost doubled the size of the house and is very nice, but hindsight being 20/20, I wish we had torn down the old house and started from scratch.

There was a house in Kingfisher that dad and I worked on that had started out as a 1 room farmhouse. Through the years it had been added on to many times and in places there were four seperate roofs all stacked on top of each other. Chasing leaks was fun.

So what did you get me?Does it have fur or feathers? Do I need a big cage or small coop? How much feed do I need to get to feed it?Is it bred, laying, have babys, neutered, full grown or still a baby? Come on now,I don't think I wait till Christmas, the suspense is killing me!

Some one on our local for sale site(GOLSN) has 70 BB Reds and Black O>E> for sale for $200. That would be a good buy I would think. You could proably double your money on them at least. They should have waited till after Christmas!

Hey Keith : Well I got up kissed the wife goodbye and headed to the job site, it went downhill from there. I finaly got in at 7:30 after feeding, one long rough one. Oh well we all have had those.

Hello Okies!

Cute baby, Q - congratulations on your Uncle-tude!

I've been getting ready to hit the road to No Man's Land and I'm tuckered out. Today I washed the dog, the car, did laundry and cut apart feed sacks to cover the floor of the hatchback since I'll be transporting clucks. I still have tons to do early tomorrow morning before I leave so I'm going to bed early - woops - I guess it's too late for that now!

I cut air holes in a cardboard box for Silkies, and Richard is letting me borrow a cage for the Shamos - do you think I'll need to take a piece of cardboard or something to put between the two parts of the Shamo cage? After hearing Doodle talk about his Asil and Turken roos going after it through the wire, I'm nervous about taking two pair of Shamos on a 6 hour tour. Will they be okay without water for the trip? Man, look at me - I'm a nervous Nelly worrying about the comfort and welfare of these creatures. Oh well, I guess if Titus doesn't eat them and they don't eat him along the way, it will all turn out fine.

I told Betsy I was going to have to keep my eyes tightly shut while I was at her place, lest I succumb to the charms of her Silkies and Showgirls - I don't need a case of the FOO (poor Faerie!). But I won't have to worry about the FOO since I might not survive my trip to SplitSocket's place. From the sounds of it, he is raising wild dinosaurs and I should be careful not to trip and fall at his place or I might be a snack for the Shamos and Asils. I wonder if he has standard Moderns.... I'm frightened!

I get to see Teach tomorrow! Good night Okies!
