Yes, I am planning to take annual leave on Friday - we have two goats that need to go to the sale and 6 llamas as well. The goats sell on Friday and Llamas sell on Saturday. Early Friday morning is the best time to snatch up cages for a great price. The last time I was there on a Friday, someone went around and wrote their bidder's number on all the decent cheap cages and then resold them on Saturday, when they auction equipment - for a much higher price.

So will I need to get a bidder number just to buy on friday?

I don't know, I guess I am.
Ididn't know you were trying to get them or I wouldn't have called.
Were you wanting some of them?
She told me she would hold them for me and take them of of craigslist.
I can do this either way.
If you and Teach have something worked out, that is fine I would just need to tell the lady that it would be you that was gonna get them.
Thanks
Monty

The problem with Prague is that there are people waiting there on Friday to snatch up birds and cages as soon as they show up.
A lot of the time it is the people working the auction that gets them.
Most of the best stuff never makes it into the sale area on Friday and especially not to the ring on Saturday.
Just my thoughts for what they are worth.

Im just looking for metal brooders and if I happen to run across a few nice cages for the right price then I will get them too.

Where is Tulsa feed located? I am more in Tulsa this semester than Stillwater, which is where I normally get my feed. And I know there is no Tractor supply in Tulsa, darn since I can use a family discount if I go there.

Kate! Tulsa Feed is at 1780 N Yale Ave (74115) - phone 834-6613. They just opened a new Tractor Supply south of Glenpool on on Hwy 75.

Yes, you will need to pay your $5 admission fee and get your permanent bidder number to buy things outside on Friday. Although the auction begins at 11:00 on Friday, I recomend getting there as early as you can and walking back among the birds and the equipment outside - often - to see what has been added. As Dr.Les indicated, they start setting up about daylight, but stuff comes in all day regarding poultry, rabbits, equipment, cages, etc.

it really is a fun auction to watch, even if you don't plan to buy any of the buffalo, goats or trophy rams. You get to see animals that you normally only see at the zoo.

By the way, their concession stand is worth going for - the food is good and the desserts are homemade.

Thanks Monty - I know there were lots of questions about what is allowed after this last time. I want to add my thanks as well for all you do to keep our thread going. Now go take a nap!

Sounds great. I will try to have us out the door as early as possible.

Well, it definitely tasted like it came from a can. Oh, and it had beans in it. I don't mind chili with beans (in fact, I

my mom's chili w/beans) but canned chili with beans is just... nasty.
