Do you need a cage to take him in? you could tape him in the back but he might be missing alot of feathers by the time you get him there.

you will need to be there a little early to get him checked in. The earlier you get him there the earlier he will be sold.

Starts at 5 right? So, what time do you think? 4 maybe? I was thinking about a cat carrier, actually... are there cages there to put him in? It'll take me about an hour to drive there.

Oh, probably mostly roosters that I have extras of, & maybe some birds that don't have correct coloring or conformation, but I just don't seem to ever have time to take a good look at what's extra before I go to work each day.

I know I have a few extra cuckoo marans roos, I have one frizzle NN roo that I will probably sell, a couple of black bantam rosecomb roosters .... just a few odds & ends.

Also, have quite a few tom narragansett turkeys to sell, and probably a few blue slate & royal palm toms.

We've been watching prices at the auctions lately ... & have been patiently waiting for the spring madness price increases before we take many birds to sell at the auctions.

I'm trying to convince Gerald to take some of our birds to the Fletcher auction on Saturday if I have to work overtime.

That would be fine.... We will have extra cages if anyone needs to seperate thier birds once they get there.... We are always happy to share our cages!

4 should be fine. And some of the BYCers should be there by then.

Will it be warm enough in the building for chicks? I have got to empty some out of the brooders. I will be bringing your eggs with me too.

Its been a few sales since we had turkeys, they were young. But cant guarantee what they would bring now...To be honest! I have seen them sell for as high as 17 each at ours..

What are you complaining about Carl, you have a spouse that like chickens, while most of us don't, ya lucky dog you.

AL

Al,
We both enjoy the birds, and the people most of all but Ducks... they are good on the table but other than that I have no use for them... I alreadt get nearly 200 eaggs a week I am not allowed to eat I try it just doesn't work. So th egreat team of okies alot of them any way got her into the ducks now, she has already been looking at the varieties and picking them out. You hav ethe greatest team of enablers I have ever met, now I need a duck market.

So do you have an egg allergy or do you just not like eggs or do you like eggs like me but for some reason cannot eat them when I try (at least since I had my daughter). My DH made them every morning for me when I was pregno with our DD, because I could not get out of bed without breakfast or else it was all over for the rest of the day. Then one day they made me sick and I haven't been able to eat one ever since. From time to time I will try an egg sandwich or a bite of Chars scrambled eggs with Cheese, but something about them that I just cannot continue to eat them. I can eat them inside with other things and I did try and eat a hard boiled one this last summer from my own eggs and it was not too bad. So maybe there is still hope for me. I know I like eggs, but still can't eat them almost 10 years later. But I keep trying.
