You probably got there a little late, then. Chicks sell early, right after most of the equipment (although that can be interspersed throughout the night depending on Jerry's instincts) and eggs.
But there haven't been a lot of chicks in general. It isn't quite the season yet for most people, I don't think. Spring and summer there will be lots of them.
I got their around 6:00pm but I didn't got up all the way to the auction table - it was quite busy and I was prob more in the way then not. I did see some baby goats (which my nieces fell in love with).
Last night was a research run for me. It's been 15 years since I seen some chickens up close. Like I said, I'm looking to just have a little flock of maybe 5 but I want to pump my head with as much info as I can before I just go buy some chicks.
I might have to go with some Bantams - Although I bet their flighty as heck. I'm having trouble deciding - fat birds that can't fly good, smaller birds that can fly south for the winter
I do know I'll be prob buying chicks from sjarvis00 as she's been nice enough to offer and help me. Either way...I'm
P.S.
