morning- umm, i guess its still morning, everyone and
welcome-byc.gif
to all the new folks!!

hey Al, that LB roo is a character! he has been doing his duty...LOL! and he is a nicer roo than that mean one we had, but those girls are teaching him HOW to treat a lady! too funny! if he doesn't romance them first, they gang up on him and chase him...and still sounds like a strangled cat...

i am glad he was a roo.... and obviously CT is a roo too, but no problems with the two, they are still pals- no sign of aggression either, and i haven't handled them, or made pets out of them- now that was hard as gorgeous as they are!

Beth,

I was there only for a short time....the only 4 legged critters I saw were Guinea Pigs, Rabbits and Goats.

Beth there are some calves on Craig's List in Jones. The pricing for them is about right and they are already started on grass and grain.

Someone posted a couple of pictures of guineas on top of a vehicle. It reminded me when we had a guinea hen that would look at her reflection on my truck bumper and peck at it for hours on end. The others would look at her like she had lost her mind. lol But then again, we have a nanny goat that looks at her reflection in the patio door and tries to butt it. Animals are so much fun to watch but french doors are expensive.

I just got back in from checking on the neighbor's cows. Renia was in the kitchen and hollered that something was wrong with one of the heifers. I went out there and it had just delivered a new calf. The momma wouldn't let me close enough to see if bull or heifer. She was still cleaning it when I got out there. We have such a problem with coyotes and neighbor's dogs that I have to keep a close eye on everything.

What breed of calves are you looking to buy?

Al and Monty are still in the planning stages but said they would let everyone know when plans are solidified.

As for me, any day would be good. We have not been to one since we are still finding out information about who, what, when, where, how and why. I'm in the Army and just need to know 2 weeks in advance so I can put in for leave.
