The NN, that I was trying to sex, doesn't actually have the feathering of a rooster. It only appears so in the photo. I don't know. All of my RIR and BSL hens have the same tail feathers as the NN. I am just not sure.
My husband decided last night that if anyone wants all or some of the roosters, they can have them for free if you will com get them. He is tired of feeding them. I need the pen to let the EEs, Serama, and Black pullet out of the big brooder. I need the big brooder empty so I can get the Silkies outta my kitchen. They are starting to spar with each other. It is always a white chick versus a partridge chick. Is this a sign of roos? I don't mind one roo of ewach color, but I don't want extra roos anymore. The partridge chicks are going to a friend of mine. She used to have chickens but is now living in a place that she can't have them. This spring she is building a new house and I'm getting her back into chickens whether she likes it or not! Actually she agreed to take the partridge before I even bought them. I just have to house them until she gets the new place going. She comes and plays with them occassionally. Her three kids seen them for the first time this past weekend and fell in love. She has 3 kids, a 13 yr old, a 10 yr old, and a 4 yr old. They are all good friends with my kids. We had an impromptu dinner party with the nine of us on Sunday. We had some great food and played Wii all evening.
