What kind of flea med did you use? I noticed a few years ago and tried it again this last year, that Frontline DOES NOT WORK. In fact, we ended up putting it on our cat every few weeks and could not get rid of them. My husband accidentally got the wrong kind, I use Advantage and it works great. When he got the Frontline all of a sudden we got fleas, I was bathing her and using a flea comb and couldn't get rid of them until I went back to the store and got Advantage two days later no more fleas. I love the ragdolls they are so pretty. Due to my allergies I have Siamese they are a little better on people with Cat allergies.

I stopped using frontline. I thought it was just the fact our dogs love water and was in the ponds all of the time. Vet said he only uses comfortis (spinosad) pills. So we bought them they were higher but they do work. Like he said along with the box, starts to kill fleas in 30 mins and it does. Once a month pill like a treat. Wish I knew about this a long time ago.

Frontline stopped working for us too. I guess our fleas became immune to it. Comfortis works great for the dogs, but hasn't been approved yet for cats. I bought mine at Pet-Vet in Midwest City. They run specials there sometimes ... I bought mine when it was buy 2 boxes, get 1 free. I recommend that place for sure! I'm using advantage now for the cats.

Take off the gas line and clean it good (especially if there's sticky stuff). Surely, you didn't store it with gas in the tank. (That's a no-no.) If you did, drain it out and use new gas. Check sparkplug or put a new one in....told you, I've done this before.

Yeah, I pulled the gas line off and it flowed freely. It hasn't been started in a while, but I let it run the last time until it ran out of gas to make sure that it didn't have any gas left in it. I put in fresh gas. It's getting fire, becayse it starts with the B-12. The choke is working like it should. For some reason it just doesn't want to run. I called the local mower shop. If I can get there by 5, they can get to it in 2 days. Fat lotta good that does me.

Keep calling other small motor shops. If you have an incubator that you're trying to save, you might find an auto cigatette lighter battery adapter (auto zone, O'reilly's, maybe wal-mart? automotive) that you could plug into for a little while...and move your incubator to someplace that DOES have power.

Yes, I am feeling a bit weird about the weather. With the temperature at 63 degrees this afternoon and a major cold front coming in, I have been half expecting a tornado watch to be issued.

I did however read where this warm weather today is changing the predictions for the winter storm and that the band of freezing rain will be fairly narrow, but moving slowly. I know the major electric companies and the Office of Emergency Management are gearing up for ice on the electric lines. Hopefully, if we do get ice, the wind will stay down. It is the wind combined with ice on the electric lines that causes major outages.

My husband went to get ours out of the back storage at his shop only to discover someone had stolen it. We only used it once, as we got it the day before power was restored in the ice storm of 2007. It stayed on our back porch for over a year before he took it to the shop to get it out of the way.

Disugusting. Now we have to really hope we won't need it.

That really stinks.
I was at Sam's today at lunch. They were totally out of size D batteries and generators costing $999 were going out the door as fast as folks could load them onto a flat bed cart.

Pet -Vet on SE 15th Street in Midwest City is where I buy all of my cat and dog supplies and some of my larger animal supplies. They are great people and as long as I don't have to go to a mall, I like to shop locally when prices are competitive with the internet.

It's quitting time here and I am going home. The bad weather isn't suppose to get here until tomarrow. My business is in Moore on I-35. If anyone loses power and can GET to Moore and I STILL have electric, you are welcome to bring your incubator here and plug it in. My number is (405) 799-9781...write it down, just in case. Go'in home time.
