Unless i am mistaken...the muskovies only like other muskovies....right? So if I could get a couple Donalds from the crosses...I would so be happy! Not sure when I am headed that way but know for sure i will have folks in the City come March

Shoot, what was I thinking. You're right on the Muskovies. But I surely have plenty of the others. I have some really neat looking ones that I think must be crossed with the mallard. They have the neatest green heads that look like velvet.

are you classified as rural or residential? i am located in Blanchard, when we moved here we were just outside county line and a mile outside of city limits, after annexation we are said to be in the center of Blanchard but since we are considered rural and not residential we have different city codes to abide by, trust me my new neighbors tried to get me and another neighbor in trouble for firing guns inside city limits(same day different locations) , cops never even talked to us, they went straight to her house to inform her that there was no wrong doing on our part, they waved at us and left. those people have since left taking all of there traffic with them, i live on a dead end road with the last mile of dirt road left in Blanchard and see up to 20 cars a day up and down.

We have burned so much wood today that i gotta shovel coals out to fit more wood! Note to self...remind young people in house not to put coals on fence!

Donna...you are so cool. Now to plan road trip...it should be soon and around the time of blanchard or other auction....

one will suffice, and they are crested ducks, the mallard appearance, or penciled, is available in any domestic duck(As that is where they all trace back too. Same as the Wheaton or black breasted red is so common in chickens. muscovies and ducks can cross but they will be sterile hybrids. just like crossing a chicken with a guinea or pheasant.

The Favs are great. I'm getting three eggs a day, and they are jumbo sized. I now have two who sit on my lap when I visit with them after work. I had some bread in my pocket a few days ago, so now they always expect a treat when they see me. They're making the guineas jealous.

How's that white EE rooster doing with the ladies? Do you think you'll have eggs in February or March?

my bid helper bought two pairs of these, did anyone else bring any? None of mine are laying yet and the one rooster that was banded had his band growing into his leg.
