Sooner I dropped your eggs off with Mr.Bill. Hope it isn't to incovient,at least it gives you an excuse to drop in on them again.
City Sorry we didn't get to connect this time. We ended up not going on to Sand Springs.Wife had an emergency back at her work and we had to cut our trip short. We ended up leaving yesterday evening. Got back to Tn. home about 1:30 this morning!Unfortunately saw two major semi accidents, one in Okla, one in Ark. And I don't think I have ever seen so many police at work, everything from state troopers to dot to county mounties,to small town Okie cops! We usually only see one or two, this time it was dozens! And still there were wrecks.
I had the opportunity to meet one of our niceest meembers this weekend.Actually two,T J and Mr. Bill. They were every bit as nice as I have have heard. It was like we were old friends. They surely are a credit to our group. (Nana better get Mr.Bill to hold that boy down and cut that hair!lol).I look forward to more meetings with them in the future.
On a sad note the furneral went well if you can say that about funerals. And at the same time it was awesome. The lady was not famous nor even a local sociallite but the outpouring of love and friendship was awesome. It was held in the Watts Gymnasium and was standing room only! She and her husband were a local home grown couple, farmers(he also worked at a factory and she worked as school libraryian for twelve years. It was like a school, town reunion. There were people that they grew up with, and their kids, and their kids, kids. Even tho she was quiet and unasuming she had topuched so many lives. It was the essence of what I think being an Okie is all about. We have that grassroots bond that is simple but binding beyond belief.
Sorry for the essay, just wanted to say that.
Anyone get any new birds at the auctions to brag about? Pictures,we need pictures!lol
