Evening everyone.

What pot you stirring Cuban??

Chuck, after seeing that picture I am thanking God for the blessing that saved you guys. I am sure it is hard tring to rebuild but I am just thankful you & your family are here to do it!

Being a fulltime mom is not only the hardest job known but it is never ending & I applaud any mom that does it. YOu are by far the most dedicated person in any work force, least paid & the most priceless.

I am trying different feeds for a while.... I will be rotating about every 2 weeks to a month. .I am fed up with Shawnee mills crap feed. This last batch I got from Shwnee mills was the worst... Even thru all this weather my chickens have been laying.... In the past 2 weeks I have barely gotten eggs compared to what I normally get. even my breeders that are in the garage and not exposed to the weather slowed way down....

What color is the inside of the shell? I checked the inside of the shell on the hen I bought with the lovely facial feathers. The inside shell is definately white instead of light blue like an EE egg. I wonder if my hen got her facial feathers from a breed other than Americauna, since the blue egg gene is dominant, if I recall correctly.

congratulations on your new designation as a Golden Feather member. As with everyone else, we may feel compelled to suggest some GFM titles:
1) Auctions sell nachos - yummy
2) Must have more turkeys
3) Must have more poultry
4) Got peacocks?
5) addicted to poultry auctions

My vote is for number (4) Got peacocks? anyone else care to vote??

How much is it and where do you have to go to get it? I have been feeding Red River 20% lay pellets but need to look at a receipt to see what I have been paying.

Well I got it off HWY 9. technically Norman. It was about $9.10 a bag... Not bad so I went ahead and got all 11 bags they had. It is normally almost $17 a bag but they are trying not to sell the 20% anymore so the guy said if I pay cash and take all the bags he would take $100 for all. That is the only place close that carries it so thought i would try it.

Normally $17 per bag

I don't think I would want my poultry to learn to like something that expensive.
