Atwoods in Sand Springs has 3 maybe 4 bantam frizzle Cochins in a straight run bin. I see 2 white & 2 partridge frizzles...

NO MONTY! If you spell "capitol" with the "o" it's Austin. Teach was smart (I'm very impressed!) and spelled his reply with an "a." That's why jokes like this should never appear in print.

Ok I knew if I spelled it correctly that it would be a dead give away. I spelled it the other way as a means of deception and distraction. I know you are too nice to understand those concepts.
I won't debate Teach's aptitude but the reason he knew the answer, is because he has a sense of humor and he saw the opportunity to be funny.
Sorry I didn't clear this up sooner but I had things to do.

Wow what an extended list! Buckguy20, can you add me to the North Central List?? I would love to induce myself here to all my Okie neighbors both near and far! I have recently retired from my full time job and have decided to get a few chickens going on here again, we have had them before, but had gotten away from it with both of our jobs requiring too much of our time. I am thinking I would like to find some Maran Eggs for hatching, ( I have contacted Carla, she has offered some eggs, I will buy from her if I can't find someone closer to Cushing with fertile Maran eggs, any suggestions would be great, I had just read several post here that stated Carla has very nice dark eggs), I am looking forward to sharing this experience with the grandchildren. I have hatched before and would just as soon buy chicks, but I really want the kiddos to take part in the hatching. I also have a desire to make my own soap, both bath with goat milk and laundry soap as well. I had been told that there is a lady here in Ok that also makes soap and maybe willing to give me suggestions, any information would be appreciated! I am very happy to get the opportunity to participate here, I have already learned so much in just the few short days I found this sight! Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Good evening everyone. I survived another trip to the wild yonder, aka OKC. I hate driving to the city at night. My eyeballs don't want to focus properly and all the other idiots out ther don't know how to drive properly. I made it to Grandpa's last night sometime around 8:30. We went to bed around midnight and I was up all night because of his dog. I left his house around 7:30 this morning and made it the the hand surgeons around 8:00. There were even more idiots driving this morning, but at least I could see them in the daylight. Once again the doctor's office forgot that we were there. This is the second time that it has happened. I hate this clinic, but it is the only pediatric hand surgeon in the state and surrounding states. We finally got out of the hospital at 11:00. I flew home, weavning in and out of even more idiots. We stopped for lunch in Weatherford and then I brought DD home to DH. I took enough time to tell them hi and bye, then headed back to Clinton for work. I had to go in today when I am normally off because the boss wanted me to get some filing done. I finally got home at 3:45 and I ain't goin' nowhere tonight . . . unless DH decides to go out to dinner because once again he made no plans. I am flat out tired and don't wanna do anything . . this includes walking to the kitchen to get my cigarettes. I don't need them that bad . . . . . . well maybe I'll walk to the kitchen. I wanna cigarette.

If you go all the way to the bottom & click the SufficientSelf.com link, go into the forum area to "roll your own" & you will find alot about making soaps of both kinds.

Glad to have you!

Sooner,

My Mother has been making soap ( lye soap ) for over 70 years. If you want the instructions and what goes into making soap, let me know and I can get it for you.
It is great for tick and chigger bites. Getting the scent of shunks off dogs and general use.

There's a cacophony of chicks in my living room. J doesn't look pleased. At all. I literally just picked them up from the postal center... they came off the truck at 5:17pm, guy immediately called me, I went over and picked them up.

So. I'll be pm'ing people in a bit to get meetup times/dates. I don't think J's patience extends to 25+8 in the living room.
