I may go looking for a diet Mt. Dew after I get to the office, but coffee is one of those things I like the fragrance of, but don't care for the way it tastes
. Yes, I plan to bring a few more hens to Blanchard. I am still trying to downsize and the EEs seem to do well at the auctions.
My last batch of EE eggs doesn't look like they are going to hatch, so I will be doing some trouble shooting on the Sportsman this weekend to make sure the fan is working and the temps are even throughout the shelves. I am going to open some eggs that I removed from the hatcher this morning and see what clues they may hold.
Meribeth,
When are you Blue splash ameracana (that we got at Fletcher) due to hatch??

I agree about the coffee
, but if you put hot chocolate in it then it is tolerable. Although it is probably more like a dash of coffee with my hot chocolate.
So I am trying to figure out how I can get everything done I need to do tomorrow. My schedule right now is looking like this, I get up at butt crack of dawn and go to Collinsville. I have been doing it the last few weekends and are really enjoying my outing to see what is available, plus I saw some big fans I think I am going to go back and get for my greenhouse. Rush back over to Sand Springs and pick Char up around 8:30ish am (she is spending the night with her friend from Ballet), rush her back to Cleveland for Girl Scout cookies table at the library from 9 - 11:30, then her basketball game she has to be there at 11:30 for the game at noon (luckily it is not even 20 feet away from the library, good thing of a small town), then get her all packed up to go to the horse ranch in Norman. Drive to Norman and pick my sister up along the way and try to make it to Blanchard before the Chicken auction starts. And this will be all after a nice and crazy night out with my DH in Tulsa going to a Salsa dancing get together.
We haven't been Salsa dancing in a few years now and we are going to try and get back into it again. Yay! I love to dance!
So now I am off to go to Char's teacher parent conference and then to start my crazy day for today and prepare for tomorrow. Oh, what time does the auction start in Blanchard? And if I am bringing anything what time do I need to have it signed up for the auction, not sure I am, but I am thinking of bringing a roo or two. I may wait till Poops though to decide if I am going to use them or not.
Mary-Beth how many Ameraucana's are you bringing? I am looking for some more Ameraucana hens. I have one right now that just started laying and got her second egg yesterday. I think I need some more, I love their green/blue eggs!
Oh I will probably need to buy some more cages too. Does anybody know what is so far consigned for the Blanchard auction? I know a few days ago there was a list, but I can't remember if it was Blanchards / Fletchers.
well i got the water lines fixed on the new place then i found that both toilets have froze an busted so now i got to get them fixed. We can move in as soon as i get the money to replace them.everything else is lookin good out there.will have pics as soon as we get a memory card for the cam.hope everyone has a good day

As of last Sunday, Michael D had a couple pairs of adult Muskovys for sale.
Is there a particular reason you want Muskovy ducks rather than another breed?
not really- but they must be something special to get black listed! LOL!
what i need are some friendly ducks to take care of lies- so i have heard they will do!LOL!
Big Okie - All the "good luck" vibes in the world.
You mentioned that packrats had been in there.
Gees, we fought those darned things around
here for about three years. They are horrible
when it comes to wiring. Bill messed around
and left the tractor parked by the barn one
time. They had completely eaten all the wiring
out of it overnight !!!! So, check and then
double check all your wiring.
And, we tried the barbait and had to go to the
ring type so we could tie it down. Otherwise,
they would just carry the barbait back to
their nests and come right back for more.
Anxious to hear you're ready to get moved in
and resettled.
bigokie - whatever you do never set fire to a pack rat den...trash heap...whateveryou want to call it. Them little devils can run a long ways on fire. Guy out here burned down a barn...he was kinda slow in letting the story out. Set that boy up with a .22 and let hime blast a few! I like the live traps...they seem more curious about entering whne there are already friends inside! I won't say it makes me happy to drown them but I have been kown to smile thinkng that they won't be causing me anymore issues!
If they are trying to band these Muskovey ducks, what is next? Is the government going to tell us that we can't have kids or grandkids because we can't control what they become and do as adults once they leave home? Is it not the same theory? A LICENSE TO GIVE BIRTH....HMMMMM
