Apparently Mirasol the Australorp was just too sick. She didn't make it, woke up in the morning and she'd passed. I told J that I'm just sick and tired of them dying on me. First the chilled ones, now her.

Evening Folks!

Shavon - Sorry to hear about your kid, this is something I deal with everyday with my students. My speech to them is that right now they are preparing to be adults, everything they learn, do and say is leading them to the person they will be as an adult. I also explain to them about choices and consequences. Good choices, good consequences, bad choices, bad consequences and that the older you get the consequences get worse when you make bad choices. Oh and as my daughter could atest, scrubbing baseboards with a toothbrush and menial tasks suck, but debts have to be paid and it seems like yours owes a lot.

Sorry about your bird.

Well the auction last night was a blast. Lots of birds although there did not seem to be that many foo-foos this time. I went home with a pair of D'uccle from Beth, a pair of white sultans that I got really cheap, of course you all seen my black americana rooster (he is a handsome guy) and a black americana hen (who acts like she has lived here all her life.

I ate a bunch of nachos and have been feeling it all day. Which has made getting packed and everything ready even more stressful. But I am packed and ready to fly out at the butt crack of dawn tomorrow. Our plane is leaving out at 5:30 am if we do not get bumped (suck thing about flying stand-by).

I am taking my laptop and the hotel has free internet and wifi so I can stay in touch with everyone. We will post pictures when there is some time. Just have to say I am totally stoked about going to New York! First time and all. Worried I will forget something we need badly, which I totally hate that feeling.

Well I better get back to getting ready. Hope everyone has a great Spring break.

Make sure you take a heavy coat. New York usually is around 70 degree in the middle of summer with 30 and 40 degree nights. I can only imagine how cool it might still be in the spring.

Stuff happens and I know I did everything I could for that chicken. This afternoon J and I went for a bike ride, first time I've ridden my own bike this year (I've been riding passenger on his the two times I rode

I don't *do* cold weather riding). Was a pretty decent day. Rode for about an hour around Draper. I felt better when we got back.

Still gotta clean the coop and move it, that didn't happen today. Bit of depression tends to overwhelm motivation.

I've only got one thing to say.

I HATE CUTTING AND PASTING!!!!

Okay, may two. I also want to thank everyone for their support and suggestions.

Now that that is said. I have spent the last FOUR hours cutting and pasting, the old fashioned way, paper, scissors, and glue. I seriously hate it. I still have more work to do for my work project, but it can wait until after dinner. I just started the ribs and they already smell good. Its time to do a little BYC and FB surfing.

TJ's Nana Wow I forgot to tell Mr.Bill about the turken bantams. I wasn't even for sure if they were laying at that time. Glad to know they weren't the infertile ones.!Sounds like a pretty good hatch.
