too much rock out here to garden.we are going to make some beds with rr ties for next year.i do have a couple tomato plants set in tires .my ducks have stayed home so far..i got them a kid pool to swim in so they dont go far.they roost on top of the chicken house at night.

Looks like more rain is headed this way. At least the pens had enough time to dry out. What I thought was a pullet crowed at me this morning. He has been moved to pen of juvi cockerels. Too bad. He's a blue EE cross with what looks like Maran or Barred Rock. I'd wanted to keep the weirdo as an egg layer.

State testing was stymied yesterday in the morning because the test in online, and the testing company had software running that was incompatible with Vista. Someone should be sent home over that one. After lunch our tech guys had a patch downloaded, so the afternoon session went well. Makeup testing is going to be interesting. With illness, tournaments, games, competitions, etc. there are a lot of kids out of class. This is when I'm glad I'm not a school counselor. Watching a schedule disintegrate would make me crazy.

In my former life traveling as a sales rep my home office was in Sapulpa and I would always get feed there when I was in town and I live 100 miles away.
There were nice/are nice folks.

Good Morning OKIES!

Well, Beautiful morning, sun is shining!

We were blessed with a little new addition to our family early this morning... Little boy! ( Sugar's April Fools ) He was supposed to have been born April 1st.

They rarely carry live chickens anymore--maybe just a few special order--because Red is no longer able to care for them. He's still there occasionally, but is wheel-chair bound. They're definiely all still nice folks.

second cup o coffee done.... every featherbut is shifted outside this morning- no rain- ducklings are enjoying being outside... so am i...whew! they make chickens seem clean!

got the tomatoes in, gonna get the watermellon, peas and pumpkins in- they are started... lettuce and carrots are coming up... so all is well in our world- AND
