I'm sure you take great care of your chickens friends!! I'm sorry you lost Large Marge!

AL sorry I missed your post, I had already left to go to church or get ready. I don't have anything on tap for today, I am still wore out from yesterday! We start VBS tonight so I will just do a couple loads of laundry & head over to see my grandma! Glad you had a good time having coffee & I hope things get better for you.

never been around this breed and he is very impressive!

peaches, glad you were able to take that trip, it really is important for you and hotdog-

I'm going to be selling off some of my Buckeye roosters if anyone is interested. Butchering ten roosters by myself is just too much for me right now.

I'd have liked to offer some hens too, but we just didn't end up with that many. I'll probably start hatching as soon as they start laying. I'll be listing the roos on Tulsa craigslist and I'm hoping to bring the rest down to the Fletcher auction, along with (maybe) some Tibetan Coturnix quail. If anyone is interested, just drop me a line.

Hey Micheal, it was a long drive and I did feel every mile of it when I got out of the truck at home!!!! I finally got to bed around 2:30 am this morning. Dakota and AI worked on a rabbit cage a while this morning and didn't get it done but closer. We had to go to my daughters in Perkins and install a toilet and ceiling fan for her. Jessie did chores for us before we got home(Thank God for a good woman) we had a load of junk to unload when we got home and she had supper started. just now got online.
Glad your daughter liked the pickles, I was going to tell you that the little jars marked Pineapple Habinero Marmalade is pretty spicy hot, I like it and had a lot of the guys at work that love it, it goes really good on pork chops or grilled meat. Could be used well as a glaze on a roast if you like such. just don't give it to anyone that does not like fairly hot stuff, it won't set you on fire but it is warm, not like th Jalapeño jellies I make which are very mild despite the peppers. I got the trio settled in my barn and they have lots of room to grow and scratch and enjoy their selves
Wanted to say again how much my family and I enjoyed the auction and the visiting!!! Have a blessed day all!!! Lynn.

Fortunately, hubby was able to fix my driver's window so that it is rolled up under the carport.
When the rain stops I will go check on the teenage turkeys to be sure they aren't half drowned.

Love how the temperature dropped 12 degrees in 30 minutes.
