Michael: Dad gum it! I knew I should have went but didn't know what time or where. That just stinks! Well guess I will have to go next time! I have been working on my run all morning sure could have used that wire lol
I think I have figured it out...gonna put chicken wire or hardware cloth along the inside too...had a problem last year with my hens wallering out holes along the bottom of the boards....

Top of the day Okies : Up and about today but not for long Sunday's is for relaxing LOL. WOW !!!! what a great time last night Uhh folks............ another fine Oklahoma chicken Saturday night at the sale barn.
Enjoyed meeting some of our new members MM Poultry, MJ, Bill (lightfoot) hope you had a good time as we do this kinda thing pretty often and are almost an inseperable force at the sale barn, as if you didn't notice our very own reserved box seats at the big table in the back.

Thanks Jerry & Jim for making us feel welcome and making special consessions for our group, Kudo's on the continued success of your auction, we all love to come to Blanchard.

Sooner : Carah It sure was great to see you again we miss your smiling face and quit making us wait so long before we see you again and that wonderful little Maddy, I hope Matt had a good time, I think he did as the football game was a treat for the kids. Your a trooper for traveling so far & wide to be with us.

Marybeth : I think the Nacho fiasco was my fault as I called your name the second you dropped them, sorry honey perhaps a nacho safegaurding class given by Rebecca ( the NACHO Queen ) is in order LOL she never spills her's. Yes Dean's winning bid on the pickled quail eggs was a first for him, now we know his weakness LOL. By the way I have never seen a goat loaded into a chicken cage till Dean got it handled.

Michael : I will bring you some birds at Fletcher Saturday. Alyssa had a good visit with Macy & Matt it was good we could get the young-un's together again.

Carla & Gerald : Thanks for the veggies, and tell Gerald I will try harder to get him into trouble the next time we meet up LOL.

Peaches : I hope I don't Tarnesh the good name of the Fletcher Poultry auction next Saturday when I make my first professional auctioneering debut, But I made Doc a promise before he left that if you needed me for anything just holler and I'll be there for you. I am not very good at it but will do my best and I am sure we will at least sell a bunch "O" birds.

Muesky : Rebecca I think a new fashion statement is in order for the summer months for the ladies, Custom made Okie BYC Aunt Jamimma headwear LOL, perhaps you can get Marybeth on board, it was cute.

What I did was keep jugs of frozen waterers down change there water out 3-4 times a day adding frozen bottles inside the waterers Kept my water hose slightly drizzing in washouts in my yard and rotating them when the little holes filled with water. I kept all my little pools filled with fresh cold water and I gave the birds tons and tons of frozen treats, Watermelon,squash,corn,cucumbers,peas, also took spray bottles and placed them in the fridge onc cold added ice cubes and sprayed mists over them. Atwoods has some really nice misters you could look into, I was sure I would lose a few to the heat expecially my overgrown cornish X rocks but none thus far and I have seen the heat index up to 122 Hope this might help. Oh yea and I use lots of gatoraid and vitamins and electrolytes. Hope some of this might help.

Well I can't stay on here too long due to this headache of mine, but I do have one quick question:
What should I expect to pay the NPIP testers that are coming tomorrow?
This will be my third year in the program, so you think I'd have it figured out by now... but I'm still confused!
The first year I asked a NPIP certified local guy to test my birds, and he seamed unsure what we owed him, so I went by the $0.50 per bird our county fair charges.
Then last year the state people called me when mine was about to expire and the came out and did AI testing too, and it only cost $5 for a certificate, and that was all we had to pay.
As far as I know they are not doing AI testing this year, but it is the same guys as last year.... so what will it cost?!

I hope your headache gets better soon. I can sure understand how bad they can hurt. I suffer from migraines and sometimes headaches due to weather changes.
