Yes that is what I thought you said to me & I can produce a flyer showing it was state wide, I think there is something hooky going on with that show & I won't be showing in it again.

Yes Dandi, there was another show but I don't think it was advertised much. Our county didn't find out about it until last minute either.

Wow! Just..... wow! I guess if they don't want others there we won't force ourselves on them

Hey, y'all. Here is a good deal on some chicks and ducklings.

Got a call from a friend of mine today offering to sell them to me at this great price, but I don't have a hankering for any of these breeds. Seems they shipped the wrong order to him. But, I know there are some folks on here who like them, so thought I would give you a heads up.

If you are interested, just give him a call and tell him Jim from Geronimo sent you.

===================================================================================================

Hey Everyone,

This month we ordered 325 day old chicks (Rhode Island Red Pullets) to become layers in the spring. They were scheduled to arrive on Friday, October 22nd early at the US Post Office. Since they usually pack about 100 chicks to a box I was expecting about 4 boxes. Well Friday came and at 7:30 AM the post master called to tell me that he had EIGHT boxes of baby chicks for me at the Post Office. It was pouring down rain that morning (we got about 4 inches) so I didn't really think much about it and headed to town in the car. As we were loading the chick in the car I noticed that they weren't all the same color??? Since it was raining and I needed to get them home to the cozy brooder, I didn't give it much thought and figured that the hatchery may have sent the wrong chicks... who knows.

I got home and we hurried the chicks inside the brooder and started unloading them. The first box had 3 different kinds of chickens... strange, so I had Erin write down what they sent (still thinking it was just a mistake). Then I opened the second box. DUCKS.... They sent DUCKS!!! I knew something must be wrong so I started to investigate the boxes. Somehow they had sent us our order PLUS someone else's order. So instead of getting 325 chicks, we received 575 chickens and 30 Ducks!! What a surprise!! I called the hatchery and after a couple days of trying to find a new home for the chicks they just let us have them. So now we have lots of chicks and would love to sell some of them if anyone is interested.

Below is a list of the Chicks we have for sale:

30 Black White Crested Polish
30 Silver Polish
30 Golden Polish
30 Buff Polish
30 Mottled Houdan

***ALL CHICKS ARE STRAIGHT RUN

They are $2 per bird plus $0.10 per day after one week of age.

We also have some Pekin Ducks for sale. We want to keep a few around the house, but not all 30!! The ducks are $3 per bird plus $0.15 per day after one week. Ducks are also STRAIGHT RUN

If you are interested or know someone who is let us know and pass this email on to your friends.

Thanks,

Grady and Erin Phelan

Good evening, I have missed alot the last week or so. We flew to my family home in Michigan to celebrate my parent's 50th Wedding Aniversary. It was fun to see so many people, some I haven't seen in yearrrrrrrrrsssssss. I missed my chickens, cats and dog. Luckily, we have some great neighbors who are animal lovers too.

we bought a ten x ten shed to convert into a coop- too many in that little coop is making for some irritable hens- so if anyone has suggestions on using a metal shed for a coop, lets hear it! dave is really turning into a chicken rancher- he has all sorts of ideas for brooders, growout pens etc

Evening folks! Donnie, now what would you do with all those topknot chicks!lol. You truely are and addict!lol. They would be fun wouldn't they!lol
I had two hens wanting to go broody when I collected eggs tonight. I just hate to try and raise them in the winter. Never had much luck at it.
Robin you should get some interesting chicks out of those three! Iam glad to see someone likes to just try out mutts and see what you get. Sometimes they are more beautiful than the pure bred colors.
Three more days till the great pigeon show. I met a guy on here who is in Michigan that is going and he is bringing me a pair of brunner pouters.! Byc is a great place to meet friends.

okla , i would keep all the buff laced for sure and a few of the others , and im sure i could peddle the rest alot of people on this side of the state like some polish
