I don't know the "right" way to do it.
i wouldn't want to mess up your showbirds.
I need to dub some of mine too but mine aren't for show.

I've been working on a ghetto (scrapped together) version of a vermiponics grow bed. Today I assembled all my found parts, I was so excited to see it work, all the water moving where it was supose to. But I think I cut one to many corners. I used some rock I dug myself (well I had help from DH) I think there is to much sand in the rocks, making mud not what I'm supose to get! So DH has volenteered to sift my rocks tomorrow while I'm at work

So take two will be later this week.

Well hope everyone had a good day and are resting now!
I did some work on the coop I'm building today.Just need to add the metal on the roof and thevwire and it's ready.I think this is one of the best bones I've made.
Separated my rumpless Wes tonight. The young roo needs to have his own space so he can mature.ONly have one hen that is rumples, his mother, but I put two of his sisters in with them figuring they also carry the rumpless gene.I wonder if rumpless is one of those fatal genes if you breed two together?
Still getting a few eggs a day. We don't eat them that much so they are stacking up. need to scramble some I guess. That will use a dozen or more. They are just bantam eggs!
Wish all our peoples would come back and chat with us again.Surely some ones got something going on.

Both MG and MS will do that. They are both Mycoplasm infections so when you are treating only the symptoms are being treated and not the root cause, There are two products out there that can take care of it. Denagard and LS-50. Well Baytril does a good job too but it is only availible from the vet.

Carl said he would do it and he added "How many birds does Madison want?, I know she needs a trio of Blue Wheatens."...... LOL

LOL, Carl is always making sure Madison has birds!!! As soon as I get rid of some of the non-show ones we might have to talk! If I don't get it done soon I may have to drive up there for him to do it because I have already messed up for the show this weekend.

I would like to see pictures of your vermiponics! I am not sure what it is but it sounds interesting!!!

Sooner, sorry, I can never catch you on here.

Five weeks til the really big show.
I didn't get involved in our church Christmas musical this year because it will be the same weekend as the Shawnee show. People keep asking me why I haven't been at practice and I tell them I am gonna be out of town that weekend. Then they ask where and when I say to a chicken show I get some very strange looks!

Hey Sooner,we never get tired of hearing about your new woman cave! Thanks for sharing it and the pics with us. I think thats what sets Okies apart,we always are proud and enjoy seeing what others accomplish and have without feeling jealous or resentful.

I got a lead on some Shamos, going to check them out in the morning. Supposed to be a white roo and several hens ,all young (4-5 months) for $8 each!

Hello Donnie, are we the only ones hanging out here tonight?
My son has taken over the computer and I have to cause a near riot to get on here at night.
I saw a while back where you go to the Okmulgee auction sometimes. Do they usually have a lot of chickens"
My dad goes but he isn't interested in the chickens too much so he doesn't give me a good idea of what is there or how many?
I plan to go sometime but I would like to know if it will be worth the trip.
My parents only live about eight miles from the auction barn.
So are you coming to the Shawnee show?
