Did you guys happen to get her from Mike D.? I got a pair from him last weekend and are some good look'n birds. I cannot wait to see what they will look like when they are grown.
I was wondering how it went and who won what.
Grace opted not to try this one because of all the things going on around here. I missed seeing everyone.
Welcome to all the newbies to the forum. You have found a great group of folks
Anyone headed to Chupps next Saturday? I hope it's not too cold. I'll be headed out at the crack of dawn with a full thermos of coffee and some cinnamon rolls. Here's the short list of what I'm taking. Send me a PM if you want to save me carrying any of these to Inola
3 Buff Chantecler, 2 Cuckoo Maran cockerels, 3 Black Jersey Giants, 1 White Orpington. These little tykes were hatched 9/22. The Chantecler are nearly impossible to sex yet because they have virtually no comb or wattles. the Cuckoos are boys, no doubt. I think the Giants are a trio, and I'm not positive, but the Orp is getting lots of pink in his tiny wattles, so it's probably a boy.
evening guys- well the little guinea is in guinea heaven- I lost my heart to the little one, i always do- but taking a realistic look at him, both hips out of joint- he obviosly was only getting worse, was apparently in pain- dang wish i could have helped him
so now the lone guinea in the house sounds lonely- but maybe its just human think there...
since cold weather is coming i don't think a lone guinea can be integrated with my other three??
Finished the apartment a half hour ago. All it needs is a new door set and all is ready. We already have it rented to a very nice kid. She even pitched in to help finish up.
In exchange for knocking off a little rent, of course.
So, now all three units (the house and both sides of the duplex) are rented. We figure that will gross us an additional $14k+ annually. On top of that, all three are rented to very nice young people. Throw in a little potential matchmaking (I think the young lady in the duplex has her eye on the young vet on the other side and vice versy), and things are really looking up.
Not my favorite way to spend a vacation, but all in all, it was well worth it.
Coral, I wish I could say one way or another but there's just no telling what I am doing day to day much less a week out. I sure need to go & get rid of these roo's! They are making my life crazy!!!!!
Robin, I'm sorry you had to put it down but in the end it was the best.
Welcome prairiehen~ Where are you in NE okla??? We don't have as many auctions as the other end of the state but we try. LOL.
