So we need to pump some life into our thread. So we need some discussion topics. With all of the newbies, there should be lots of questions. Either for them to ask or for some of oldies to ask them.
When I say oldies I am not referring to age just to people that have been hanging aroung here on BYC for awhile.
So come up with some discussion topics. I'll try and throw a few out there myself.
!. What are your favorite colors in chickens. I like blue, buff and the spangly, mille fluer, tolbunt coloring.
I know those aren't all the same but you kinda get my idea.
Not any colors I don't like but white is my least liked. Of course it isn't a color but it counts for this topic of discussion.
2. Why do so many people like Cochins?
I have nothing against them and I have owned a few. I got Cochins because I heard they were great brooders/sitters. (Same with Buff Orpingtons. None of the Cochins and only a few BO's ever went broody.
The few Bo's that did quit the nest before finishing.
I had four gorgeous Blue Cochin hens and a rooster. I never got a single chick from them.
Anyway I am not a Cochin hater. They are pretty birds but I just never had good luck with them.
They are a popular breed, so what are the reasons you Cochinographers love them so?
