I was getting my mildly feverish, lightheaded self dressed at a leisurely pace (I'd already bought all the birds I wanted and just needed to go pick the last one up and watch the BIC/BIS judging at noon) when I got a call from Jim Hall at 11:00 that the show was over, everyone was packed up, and he had my bird for me. Yea! Instead of driving to Shawnee, I met up with Jim and his handsome son at the 99 exit. Aren't chicken people The Best?

Yep thats snow. Its now 24 and falling from the high of 25! Snow starting to accumulate seriously now!

I heard there was an earthquake in Shawnee about 5p.m. yesterday. I think they are mistaken. I think it was just one of Terry Britt's Buff Orpington roosters that got out and was running around.

the hen was actin funny last night when i got home , she was caughing , sneezing , and making a noise , so i gave them some sulfa meds in water , what the vets call 480's , and then gave her some penicillin orally , i fugure it was from the dust ( hoping it was anyway )
