The old timers allways say to remove spurs and Dub during a full moon, as they bleed less. I keep a septic pencil handy and it stops the blood cold, or if you can't find one they sell blood stop at any hardware store for any on site construction accident, that works well too. I know all to well

What is a septic pencil ??? How do they work & where can I get one? Last time we dubbed we did it by the signs. I am not a fan of dubbing just for the record.

Al - I don't think I wanted to know that hardware stores anticipate bloody injuries and therefore stock a product designed to help blood clot

sooner sounds like you are about to get that house done! Brenda and I went around looking at new houses on the market,getting ideals. We love to do that. Of course the one Brenda said she could make do with quite well was a five bedroom three bath pro ably 2400 sq ft! I told I was pretty sure that she could settle for something a whole lot cheaper!lol the price tag on that one was $495000 ! It even had a fraidy hole under the pantry.

I got another nine eggs today. Had a hen wanting to go broody,no way for at least two months!

a Septic pencil is a white thing kinda like chalk and us old timers

use it when we cut ourselfs shaving, so we don't show up to work with little pieces of toilet paper all over our face.

Monty : I know what you were getting at with that septic remark, Septic is the latin word for blood, I think.

Marybeth : Yes they do sell it and the label is really cool, they show a guy with a tool belt on and blood spurting from his hand, kinda like a character, anyway they do carry it and they sell a pant load of them, I should buy stock in that co. LOL.
