Hello all. Its been a while. I just have one, well maybe two, questions.

Who has Seramas and who wants Seramas?

to both of you!

I have several bucks and several does thank you very much...in the freezer!! never seen a rabbit with antlers so why call them bucks? Anyways...I have boys and girls...and the boy visits the girl goes away for a little while...goes back for a visit in a couple weeks...we wait flr said babies...we will keep trying...

Howdy smfamf...I don't have them...why you getting rid of them? didn't think you had that many?

Talked to my Bio II class...they want to hatch eggs. Can I talk anyone into helping me out...not sure I can get enough this time of year to have enough to break open on a daily basis and have a high success rate of fertiles...any thoughts? I already warned them it will be at least a week...looking at temps...I hope I can convince them to wait a couple months..they are tired of hearing that! We are covering amphibians...so of course they want to have tadpoles...nothing shipping on those for a couple months...I think I can make them wait until feb...maybe...silly kids...

You can probably answer my question regarding toads. As I was going into my office bldg. this morning, someone noticed a toad on the sidewalk and called it to my attention (why did they think I would want to know?

) Anyway, it was so cold (temperature was about 43 degrees) that I picked it up and brought it inside my office, to get it warmed up - with the intention of releasing it when it is warmer.

Why would a toad be out of its burrow in this cold of weather? How warm does the temperature need to be before I put it back outside so that it can make itself a home for the winter?

I haven't been having much luck lately either. I have only had one litter born since I started breeding in October, and that is out of at least 10 does that have been bred and it was on her second breeding. I know that some of my does are too fat and I am in the process of identifying that problem and will either feed them straw and fewer pellets for a few weeks to see if some of the weight will come off, or send them to freezer camp. I have about 6 does due to kindle on the 19th so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I really need to learn how to palpatate so that I don't have to wait 30 days to know if the doe "took"
